Take a lesson from the borderlands series. Instead of nerfing the crap out of value ta'aurc, you should have added a low percentage, assigned exotic drop. I farmed bosses in borderlands for hours knowing I had a slim chance of getting one specific coveted drop. If there was a 0.5% chance of valus dropping a ghorn upon death, it would have been your highest completion percentage. If omnigul had a 0.5% chance to drop a red death on a kill, the number of people completing it would skyrocket. I didnt stop playing strikes because they needed to be easier, I stopped playing because there really was no reward worth the time nor effort.
