Exclusive content means LESS content for everyone.
Strikes: Exclusive strikes never show up in Nightfall or Weekly. Amount of face time is greatly reduced because of this.
Crucible Maps: That fun ps4 earth map never sees the light of day in Iron Banner, again reducing player interaction.
Expansion Maps: Even further divides the community base and newer maps don't make it into pvp events (Iron Banner or likely Trials) I wouldn't mind paying a monthly subscription instead of buying expansion passes every 5 months if that meant continued support for patches and content.
If exclusivity needs to happen, 1 yr is too long. How about just a month, like most other franchises have done. The content is fun, just frustrating that you don't get to experience it like you should.
Deals likely have already been made. However, when they expire, please rethink the pros and cons of limiting the player experience for all. Thank you

Exclusivity is just annoying in general.

Well put. How long are players going to be punished for Microsoft's relationship with Bungie? It may be cool for PlayStation players but like you said, it actually hurts both. Aside from weapons, content get excluded from events (Nightfall, Iron Banner, etc) and no one benefits. Does Bungie have a plan to truly bring the community together and offer everything Destiny has to offer to all players?

Timed exclusives bud.
