Bought a ps4 when it launched 1.5 yrs ago. Made a ton of buddy's on various games. I'm STOAKED for prison of elders and trials of FUKYES. Whether we dominate or get smashed... It'll be a good time. It's called variety, and it's what destiny needs. Don't be cheap, use your mic. Make some buddy's and enjoy the social aspect of the game, or stick to minecraft..

I really like to play in short bursts of a few games at a time (1-3). Id like to be able to just start without looking for a team on an lfg site. If they are concerned about random teams not being competitive against premade teams, there is a simple solution: match up teams vs other teams and randoms vs randoms. I dont think it matters much though honestly. Id just like to be able to start playing immediately without going to a lfg site. Premade teams are not necessary for a search and destroy mode. Sure, communicating with your team will make it easier to win but its not required. Anyone against matchmaking is for one reason only : they want less people to be able to play this mode. Optional matchmaking does not in any way hinder people who dont want to use it. They can just make a fireteam. Therefore anyone against optional matchmaking is only looking for others to have a worse experience than themselves.

Actually all of you talking to each other on this thread could add each other. There you go, instant "friends" to play with.

I'm not looking forward to trials, let the elite 2% have their fun playing each other over and over again..it going to be frustrating once people utilize their supers, I predict lots of hate over the mode.

Sigh. I didn't realize they did something like this again. Looking at PS4 trophy count 5.9% of players have competed a raid. Doesn't mean that they haven't raided just haven't finished. 15.9% of players have completed the maximum crucible marks in a week. Doesn't mean people don't pvp, but it does sound like they don't pvp and most likely don't pvp with a good deal of "friends". Why not have group matchmaking? It really sounds like it goes back to Destiny telling the players how to enjoy their game rather than letting gamers enjoy the game how they feel. If this was a PC based game with easy in game chatting it would be one thing, but Destiny is console based and social interaction in the game is a pain at best, let alone finding other players that you don't meet via other players. And any of the people out there saying it isn't that hard. It doesn't matter. Who actually wants to go to something outside of the game, track down people you don't even know anything about, friend them, hope they arn't douche bags, set up times to connect, etc. More and more I see the decisions made by Bungie stating they are listening to their player base, but looking like they are not or doing the opposite of what people want.

I made a lot of friends from the bungie forums just make sure you add people you play with and invt them to more raids

There will be other gear options such as leveling up existing vault and Crota. You won't have to get this gear. I'm primarily a PVE player myself, and I understand your grievance but I have to say every time the Iron Banner rolls around, I put together a team, and connect with other players, it's always a much more fun experience.
