Leveling Rare (Blue) Gear to the Max
In House of Wolves we will be able to ascend legendary gear to max status! Which is all very exciting and will increase diversity. However, what about rare gear? There are certain looking armor pieces that you can only find as rares and this is the case with the weapons as well. Could we see a future update to address this?

Edited by ActuallyYeti: 4/29/2015 3:04:21 PMI agree just the other day I found a rare gun that looked amazing. However it was taking up engram space and I had to dismantle it. If we we able to upgrade blues tho It should be hard to do somewhat. Something like get a 1000 kills while wearing this armor in pvp to make it ascend able or get 5000 kills with this weapon in strikes to ascend. Because if you could ascend anything you wanted to it would defeat the whole point of getting legendary or even exotics besides their awesome names. The problem is the limited amount of variety of guns we have now, not that we cannot upgrade blue items.

2 RepliesThe PS4 exclusive armor sets: Vanir, Argus and Manifold [url]http://i.imgur.com/qf2bVKg.jpg[/url] - is only rare and not legendary so I'm NOT sure that you will be able to "ascend" it to max light level as you will be able to with raid gear and current legendary gear. I too want to be able to max out my exclusive armor sets as it is some of the best looking gear in the game. It doesn't make sense for the exclusive gear to be obsolete and worthless.
