Her name was Isabelle. God she was pretty. I remember when I bought her. The reason I chose her is because the moment I picked her up she licked my face and I was sold. Then I bought some food and looked up some training videos, and it was the coolest thing to just see things click in her little head as training progressed. Then I started off leash training her for about a week and a half and she had been doing so well. I just didn't want her to be a house dog. I wanted her to be free and run around. But yesterday I let her out of my sight for two seconds to start the grill, which I had to move to the front yard because the wind kept putting it out. I didn't know where she was so I called her. I could hear the jingle in her tags and then a a loud thump. when I turned around, I saw my puppy, dead in the road. I still remember all the blood in the road. The car had run over her head, and broke her neck. She died instantly. The driver said she's so sorry, but then left. I only had her for a month, but I had gotten so attached. She was going to be my little hunting companion. I had this weird premonition about this happening in a nightmare, and now my nightmare is all too real. I guess what I'm trying to say is, never take what you have for granted, because it might not be there tomorrow. Any solace is greatly appreciated.
