This is just a random question I've had about Destiny since TDB, and with HoW around the corner I'm still curious. It seems that for each expansion the current weapons and gear are replaced by new ones; is it a matter of memory constraints, balancing issues, and/or internal design decisions that cause this to happen? I only ask because every expansion comes with new weapons and gear that are awesome, but then all the previous awesome weapons and gear are gone. It would also help further diversify guardian appearances if the previous items were still for sale but always set to the most recent level cap. For instance, I love the current vanguard hunter helm, I think it just looks awesome, but I also hardly ever wore it because I needed the extra light from a exotic helm and then I started using the raid helm. And the details about HoW so far seem awesome!
