Nothing but awful experiences so far in matchmade Weekly Heroic
Please give us the option to do this solo or go back to the way it used to be. If a friend of mine saw I was doing the Weekly Heroic Strike solo, they could hop in and I would have no problem doing the Heroic strike with them. Now I have to carry two randoms in a matchmade game. Half the time, they aren't even there. Just AFK and moving their character every once in a while. The players don't even realize that there is a burn (this week is Void and I'm sure that they still haven't figured it out) yet they still have equipped weapons that will be a non factor. It was much more fun and challenging doing the strike solo. Now it's a chore to carry randoms.
It's embarrassing having to play along side such incorrigible players. They simply should not be on my fireteam.
Edit: I play the Weekly Heroic Strike at level 30.
Also since it appears people think I would like playing with AFK players because then I would be solo--that's absolutely not the case. They are AFKing and given a free ride to loot. I shouldn't be the one to give them free loot.
This matchmaking system is broken and exploited.

1 ReplyLooking at your most recent game, you did not in anyway carry your teammates. 66 kills, and the others had 10-15 less. That ain't carrying. Carrying is when your on a level 30 strike and you've got 27 and 28's on the fireteam. Unless those are your friends not randoms. Carrying would be like you have 100 kills and the other two teammates managed 30 or so.

I have yet to have an afker. Me and my buddy ran them as a duo always prior to matchmaking, now we are paired with a random. Now, in a case where someone was afk, meh who cares it doesnt affect us. We just roll through it like always. Didnt need the 3rd anyway and I could care less about the rewards they get or dont get that has no effect on me either.

I use to get mad but now I just mind my business and pray that afk player die..so I can dance on his ghost and not revive him also report him as unhelpful.

We carried a kid with a Gjallahorn... let that sink in. This tool refused to shoot at all, the entire strike, until the boss was at one third health.

6 RepliesYou say you want to solo it, so essentially 2 players being afk would allow you to solo. Stfu we need matchmaking, if people suck and you don't feel like carrying them you have the choice to leave, so just stop, please we need more matchmaking not less

I don't like it sometimes either. I use remote play on my vita and I feel like I'm slowing down whoever I'm matched with. I had no problem soloing with the vita, it just takes me a little extra time to line up shots

Did 2 runs yesterday, no problems. Was done almost as fast as nightfall.

1 ReplyI've never had a bad experience in the heroic strike. There's been a few where people died a lot but I just stayed patient and picked them up when it was clear.

I've encountered some afk players in the past...easy fix!!! Report those afk players and go to orbit, matchmake again. Not everyone is a afk a-hole, keep reporting and eventually bungie will lock down the event for those players. If you need help for weekly heroic, nightfall or raid add me.

I switched my Armor to Lv27 so I can match made with lower Lv and then put my 32 gear back on. Most Lv 27,28,29 work hard for there coins I don't mind doing something with a low Lv as long as he is not being AFK. AFKs on the other hand I hate the most I always make sure to report them and quite the strike and re-join it.

This only happened one time to me. If I get matched with people that aren't using any weapons with the specified burn I immediately back out and join a different team

Ive had mainly good experience. A few afkers but I just report them and then they are gone.

Last time I did the weekly, the third dude left. So it was just me and this hunter. I ended up dying early in the mission and instead of rezzing me he just taunts and dances around my cadaver thingy. So for the next like, 2 hours, I kept trying to squish him with a sparrow so he'd get kicked for afk since I wouldn't rez him. We basically just tried to kill and flame each other via message and make the other guy waste his time and have to restart the strike. So yeah. It was fun but matchmaking sure lands you with some douches haha

8 RepliesI would like the option. Have run into a handful of AFKers, but still manage to have some great teams now and again. Last night, ran through it with randoms. We all had void and really watched each other's backs without communicating at all. Best experience I've had so far with MM. Unfortunately, they're too few now. The OPTION to switch on or off MM is a gaping hole that has yet to be filled in by the Devs.

Never understand why ppl don't bring burn weapons though lol.. Also don't any of you read bungie updates? They said when it was added that they were going to start banning afk players who consistently afk. Report them, leave, reque.

It's aggravating I agree but everyone wanted this because they were tired for trying to find ppl to do it with them so this was the solution
