X Box 360 to X Box one free download
So I didn't buy the Destiny digital copy or anything, I bought the hard copy. But I did buy the digital expansion 1 and 2 pack for 360. It says if you've bought the digital expansion 1 and 2 pack, you get a free download of the game for next gen. Now I'm trying to get Destiny for my X Box one because that's where my friends play it now, but it says I have to pay another $60 for a game I already have. However it did let me get a free download for the expansion 1 and 2 pack so it knows I have the game, but wont let me get it. I just think its unfair that because I went out and bought the hard copy for 360, and now I'm being punished and have to spend another $60 to play a game literally all of my friends got a free download for X Box one... I've maxed everything in this game and I'm really looking forward to playing House of Wolves with my buddies again, but if I don't get this download to next gen, after I've maxed everything in House of Wolves which I will, I wont be spending anymore money on this game because it seem like I'm getting a little screwed over.
If I'm doing anything wrong please let me know. I really do love this game and have high hopes for it, but if I am getting screwed over because I went out and got the hard copy version which is the same thing as the digital version, then I keep my promises and I will not be buying any more Destiny content...

1 ReplySorry bud, but your out of luck. You would have had to buy your destiny copy on the 360 digital in order to have gotten the free DIGITAL copy for the ONE. You should only have to spend in the 30 to 40$ range at this point to get the hard copy for the one. I know you don't want to hear that but there's no other answer but the truth. Any game you buy from here on out for the 360. You should research and make sure they don't offer the free crossover platform game if you buy digitally. as far as I know they've only did this for COD advanced warfare and now DESTINY so the games are very minimum that they offer this deal.

I'm going to most likely get an Xbox One and I have to pay another hundred dollars for it (as I'm getting the 2nd DLC), so I'll end up paying 200 dollars total, plus a 300 to 350 dollars.

To buy the digital copy you would have to buy it on 360 to get it for free on the one. The hard copys are two completely different things they run differently. You will have to pay the 60$ to get the xbox on version.

2 RepliesThe 360 disk will still work in the xbone right? I mean, I play ps3 games on my ps4 sometimes so I'm sure they made it compatible no? I don't do Xbox so I'm not sure at all lol but pop in the disk and check it out. Worth a try.

1 ReplyFrom what I know, customers who bought digital guardian edition on last gen(X360) gets free download on current gen(XONE) for a limited time. I am not sure, but I think this offer is over now. If you bought the expansion pass, not the digital guardian edition on 360, unfortunately you won't get a free download on your XONE.

Im just saying you should have thought about that? before u bought the disk just saying and im in the same boat but I want o go down a gen to 360 lol
