Are you tired of looking like everyone else when you return to the tower? Feeling like a robot made in an assembly line?
Well now you don't have to! I introduce to you a new feature for in Destiny for the Gunsmith! Armor and weapon upgrades!
Love your Shadow Price? Really digging that sweet Vault of Glass Armor? Well now with the Gunsmith you can use your motes of light to upgrade their max damage value, and light value!
Love your Fatebringer? Upgrade it with the Gunsmith so you can still use it Nightfall and Iron Banner!
Got Queen's Wrath gear? Upgrade it with the Gunsmith and make your friends wish they never had scrapped their Queen's Wrath gear!
Got Ghost Angel Armor? Upgrade with the Gunsmith!
The Gunsmith can do more than just upgrade your gear though, at the cost of mote of light he can take your Vanguard/Crucible/Faction weapons and reforge them to your liking. [Note: Doesn't work on Iron Banner and Raid weapons]
Need armor piercing rounds for your Prudence II? Reforge!
Need full auto for your Invisible Hand M7? Reforge!
It doesn't stop there oh no! Collect raid gear and upgrade them, then with the Gunsmith's help you can transfer the light from the Raid gear to your favorite and sexy armor pieces!
How do we get this feature into Destiny you ask?
It's simple, copy and past the link to this Topic all over Bungie.net and keep doing it until Bungie agrees to add this feature into Destiny. If you really want this you'll have to copy and paste the link to this Topic. Act now!
How it works:
-Player has Shadow Price, and Found Verdict.
-Player approaches the Gunsmith and uses two motes of light and weapon parts to upgrade the damage value from 300 Max, to 331 Max.
-Player wants armor piercing rounds on his Prudence II, and decides to reforge it. He spends two motes of light and a Vanguard commendation to do it.
-Player has fully upgraded up his raid gear, but doesn't like how the raid gear looks. Player decides to transfer the light from his raid gear to his favorite armor pieces at the cost of two motes of light and 12,500 Glimmer.
UPDATE:
It would appear that we've gotten Bungie's attention. Not just us though, many other people have posted similar posts all over Bungie.net and they've contributed to the effort too.
You, the people have spoken, and Bungie has answered. Good work everyone.

Agreed in some form or another

Bump for more customization of any kind

One thing I will say is that more people should play crucible. That is the ultimate test of your skill and NO ONE looks the same in the crucible. PVE only players are kinda boring...no wonder they are bored.
-
A tenth of the game would be good then
-
YES PLEASE !!!
-
Bump!!

Take a Grey--->Green--->Blue & then Purple. Simple, don't care HoW the process of upgrading works, but just make it work.

I have a similar idea with a different path. I like this idea as well https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/114374786/0/0

What if instead of using motes of light as currency(because they are so easy to get) they use commendations. That way it's not so easy to make the best gun by re roll.
-
Actually, if you go to planetdestiny.com you can hear DeeJ say verbally that the most trending post gets attention. So as long as we keep talking, we win.

This forum is getting as monotonous as the game is. The same shit, day in day out. Day in day out. Day in day out. Day in day out. Day in day out. Da...-blam!- it I give up.
-
Bump it up!!
-
One problem with your post - Fatebringer is still completely awesome in an Arc Burn Nightfall. Still one of the very best weapons in the game.
-
Old Vanguard weapons and gear? sure. Vault of Glass gear? Needs to be some kind of ordeal involved. I actually think, roast me for it, that only event weapons should be allowed to be "reforged". It gives them an extra degree of uniqueness that you can potentially get the perfect gun, if you work for it.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuump

Of all the ideas similar to this one, this one is the best by leaps and bounds. I'm in full support. Well thought out. Bumps for days.

They don't care about legendary weapons, which is why you can upgrade your exotic weapons.

If I act now what will I get absolutely free?

Now I said no for the reason of that this is not that type of game. What they need to do is make more gear at max that is more available. There is really only 2 looks to cap out at lvl 32 and no form of transmogrify with any gear. Now before you freak out when I say its not that type of game please think that this game is a grind game, and each gear is supposed to have a shelf life. Now they did screw up pretty badly with TDB and made VoG gear instantly invalid. What they should have done was make vendor gear max at lvl 30 and make a maxed new exotic take you to 31, but just nearly. Then the new raid gear take you to 32, then have a patch that added new gear that max at 32 before the new expansion. That and they just need an overall new variety, like at least 2 different sets of raid gear per class, or what would be nice if there was only like one specific armor piece that was for certain classes. Like in Diablo 3 where like the monks could only where the a typer of head armor, demon hunters were the only ones that had cloaks
