Is the ROC strike a substitute for Nightfall?
What I mean is, is Vanguard ROC strike good for grinding? I see my friends, and other people get exotics from Vanguard ROC!
I mean, is Vanguard ROC a mini-nightfall that just has a smaller chance of getting exotics?

Not really. In a few 100 ROC strikes I have only gotten 2 exotics. 4th Horseshit and No Land Beyond. Mostly just blues. If you die a lot and generally suck you will get Hawkmoon, MIDA, Plan C and other upper tier exotics though.
