Rewarding skilled play? You're funny.

I love soloing the pits brings me back to the thorn bounty ahh the good ole days. Me a bunch of overshielded hive and a big scary brain looking hive boss at the end and yes ice breaker for infinite ammo the good ole times.

The only Nightfall I don't like to solo is Omnigrunt. But I don't even like that one in a fire team, not because it is difficult, but because it is tedious. It is a long enough slog to gain enough ground to get a line of sight on that -blam!-ing cow which barely lasts long enough to drop her shields before the spawning of boomer Knights with arc splash damage or cursed thralls emerging unannounced the door in the corridor you have to turn your back on. It all makes for as much fun as a Prostate check. I'm happy to solo all the others, but only with a Sunsinger Warlock with Fireborn active, so I can self resurrect. The entire RNG affair if this game is now starting to grind me down. Even the Raids yield a lot of Jack Shit. To be honest, I can understand that the RNG at the end of Nightfalls can't tell the difference between a Christmas newbie and a September veteran who has come to see the awarding of ascendant materials as the digital equivalent of water torture. Maybe it would not be beyond the wit of Man to have a loot system weighted differently for players whose level is 31 or above. But the entire loot system in Destiny is a load of old arse, so maybe it is just beyond the wit of Bungie.
