Just got my vex, is it worth it?
Hey guys
Just got my vex mythoclast from my first run on hard mode atheon, but my question to you is, is it worth levelling? I play mostly pve raiding and strikes and it cuts through stuff, but it also cuts through ammo, now for the experienced user of this weapon, could you please tell me if its worth fully levelling before I put hard work into it? And do telemetry work on it?

1 ReplyThe only time I really use it is for the 20 double kills with a fusion rifle bounty. Other than that it collects dust.

1 ReplyIt's past its time. Nerfs made it worse. It's still fun to use. The sound while firing is satisfying. I would keep it though since it completes the kill 3 hive with a special weapon bounty and kill 2 enemies at once with a fusion rifle bounty quickly.

4 RepliesYea it's worth leveling. People complain about ammo because they spray and pray and then wonder why they are out of ammo and then blame the gun. I love the weapon and I've been using it religiously since I got it in October. Just remember it's a fusion rifle so only engage at fusion rifle ranges. It's bolts also take a little longer to reach their destination so you may have to lead your target. It's used to be way better but it's got accidentally nerfed with the overall fusion rifle changes in the last patch so it's spread is definitely wider so you won't be as accurate.

4 RepliesYes, it is useful. Consider two different bounties. 1. Kill 2 enemies 20 times with a fusion rifle 2. Kill 3 or more hive 5x with a special weapon. Without dying The vex counts as a special weapon even though it's in the primary slot. Once fired, the weapon counts as a single continuous bolt of a fusion rifle. Once you fire and kill the first enemy, everything after that continues to count towards the bounty. You could technically get these two bounties in 10 seconds if you're being rushed. Also, it's an exotic with fire. I believe there's another bounty that's easier to get if you use the vex. Can't remember it.

9 RepliesNot a fan. I really wanted it and now I have its just not that great of a weapon. I'm sure if it dropped for my in October I would have loved it but compared to all but three exotics I have its one that will probably vault.
