To everyone complaining about them not expanding the vault enough.. Just shut it.
If you read the rest of the update you will learn that it's NOT POSSIBLE because of the memory constraints on last gen systems.
So I'm going to say what no one else will...
Thank you Bungie. Thank you for doing everything you could to please us. Many will not be happy, but thise people are also ignorant morons.

HERE. This is a forum topic some of you may remember that got over 1000 replies... Where i address the fact that we're not all coders, and I'm sure the game is much more complex than we know. Let's do some math... Just because so many morons brought it up...
You can have 3 characters, each that can hold any gun. That's right folks, you can create a level 1 that can keep EVERY EXOTIC IN THE GAME in their inventory.
3x9=27 this means just in your chapters, you have 27 slots to hold each weapons CLASS. That means 27 primaries, 27 specials, and 27 heavy weapons.
Add that to the 36 slots they will now have for any weapon type, and you now have a total of 117 slots for weapons ((27x3)+36). So... That is PLENTY OF SPACE.
Unless you are a hoarder, you have tons of space. If you have the itch to collect every gun possible to have in the game then find a new game. But Bungie is not going to sacrifice other elements in the game to allow you to have 1000 weapon slots in the vault.

Or you could say why didn't you bring out a separate update for old gen and new gen? Or you could say why did you bother with old gen at all? I'm not mad about vault space by the way, I think they done a good job just think it could have been better if they had wanted it to be.

Thank you Bungie. Not that I need the space as my 3 character's can hold between them 270 items and ofcourse plus the increased vault space give you a grand total of over 300 items you can hold!! # more than enough!! Be greatfull ;-)

What some people like you don't understand: I payed $100 for Destiny including dlc. I want what I paid for. Agreed I feel like the update is great FOR NOW. But as soon as the new dlc comes out with new exotics and raid gear it's just gonna be the exact same thing a month after its out. Like shit man I just wanna be able to collect the best weapons. Im sorry but old gen consoles are gonna be gone here in a few years anyways so why can't we get updates maybe just for next gen consoles so the game can actually be played after you collect 30 weapons lol.

I understand what they are saying. But why not divide the vault into sections. Clicking on Chest Armor and then it loads the 9 you have, click on boots and it loads those. No need to show everything. Besides, the vaults are unorganized already and this would just help.

Happy they are expanding it, even that small amount will help immensely. I'm having to delete guns here and there, as there is no space left anywhere, just to keep one slot free for swapping

I barely have any armor in my vault but I stocked on mats and weapons. Example let's say we had 100 spaces we could put whatever we wanted into them instead of being limited to a category. So if I really wanted to i could have all 100 spaces as weapons. Well anyway I am not upset or complaining it is more than we had before and for that I am thankful. Destiny 2 should make shaders and emblems non items and just unlock them on a list that you can share between all your characters. Also Destiny 2 shouldn't be confined to older generation limitations.

4 RepliesI'm happy for it, and anyone who thinks it's so simple to "just add some pictures" it's because each of those little thumbnails is essentially a file filled with every bit of data regarding that weapon. So for example, you have 20 Gjallarhorns in the vault. Each one of them contains the ui info that pops up when you select it, the fully rendered model when you preview it, the ui that goes with the model, the stats and ui info of the weapon you have in the same slot to compare it to, all the perks and how they affect the stats, and the fully rendered model that you hold, plus the visual and audio effects that go with it. Now imagine 20 sitting right next to each other.

Yeah I'm super excited for the extra space. I still have plenty of armor space. Weapons and General is where I need it. Other people are being whiny little shits about it.
