Iron Banner: Lag your way to victory.
Seriously the last few games I have been playing I have lost because of lag. Iron Banner isn't fun when you keep losing because the other team is cheating.
There was even one game where I threw a super only for the guy to just sit there and tan in is nova bomb glow.
Please fix this Bungie or atleast ban the players who keep lag switching. Thank you.

Yeah, it's terrible. I played exactly 1 match this time it was a lag switch fest. My team only won because we still managed to outperform the other team who was too busy trying to time lag switch presses and not enough teamwork. I quit after that. It's just not fun with so much lag.

My ISP speed test says I have 60 Mbps, I am currently in a game where I hear the announcer and see the kills but I am running through a ghost town...no body around... Can't wait for The Division to come out. Hell, Tetris would be less infuriating than this... #whatarewepayingfor You have a decent structure for a highly addictive game, unfortunately it's not a lot of fun to play right now...

We are referring to it as Chinese Lag Switch. This was my first IB. I don't play PVP and I probably won't ever play IB again. It's bad enough not being good but when you are actually doing well and on a killing spree and some dude teleports through a wall and you nova bomb him and melee him after and he teleports away only to reappear behind you with a shotgun...

This is why I -blaming- hate IB for this reason. I'm sorry to those who enjoy IB challenges and rewards but I'd rather slice my eyes open with a cheese grader and jam a potato peeler up my nose to my brain before I ever go to IB AGAIN!!!!!! Rant Over. Travels Light Guardians

This was a huge problem with COD, but at least they had an algorithm to detect it and would switch hosts.

1 ReplyYep, after earlier declaring that its not so bad the weekend switchers have come out in full force. A close 9k-7.5k game ended up 20k-8.5k. The best you can hope for is to be on the winning team because skill doesn't actually count in IB.

3 RepliesI usually inspect the lobby before a match and leave if there are too many bad connections showing. Sometimes you will see a full slate of green health bars ahead of time. Then the match starts and the leaderboard will show people with barely there (trace red/orange bar) connections; often one of them will be at the top of the board. They are typically very hard to kill, I have used 3/4 of a machine gun mag to drop them when it shoudn't take more than 5 shots at the most. While they are bullet sponges, they seem to be able to kill with minimal bullets (on your screen anyway). Does the extra game activity cause the connection to deteriorate or is it man-made interference? The end result is the same either way, someone gets an advantage.

I prefer that random 27 warlock over that 32 hunter cause levels don't matter in iron banner and you can still get one hit Melee

Yeah it's pretty ridculous. Whenever everyone in the game has a green bar, I dominate, but once the other team starts lagging, they just teleport their way to unearned victory. Bungie and Activision cheaped out on the game, and this is one of the results.

You can still get IB rank 5 I mean I did it and I only have one exotic weapon but I do see this lag as a major issue. Example 1: I'm sitting tight behind a corner see someone approaching via radar. They run by I empty clip into their back (no damage is registered) they keep running then instantly spawn on me and shotgun to the face. Example 2: sometimes when I'm killed in what seems like a lag way I wont be able to respawn. I thought this was some sort of delay on my end but my connection appeared fine and I use direct connection. Only have ever seen these problems arise in some betas, this gAme still beta?

I like to run with all sorts of friends during IB but lately I have been getting super frustrated. If even one player on your fireteam or the oppent has a red connection whether cheating or having a crappy signal (like having a wireless connection, if possible plug into the router for everyone sakes!(( i know it's the servers at times))) it can ruin it for everyone. It is a bummer.

1 ReplyDude, lag switchs are the worst. Saw a titan blink jumping.... Shotgunned that dick didnt do anything to his shield; switched to thorn 5 head shots still a full shield. He got close enough to one punch me. I was in rage mode...
