Tips for Being Swordbearer?

Hey guys, I would like to get better at being Swordbearer (as a Hunter) and am wondering, what's the ideal set up for gear, stat tree, etc? I feel like I swing so slowly lol. Anyways, any helpful tips would be appreciated :)

I remember when I was in your shoes. I'll give you all the tips I know and remember getting from everyone. First off, how do you regen health? If you do orbs that's good, if you regen by hungering blade I wouldn't try hard crota running sword until you get a different way. I personally regen by red death. By being the swordbearer it basically means you need to call out all the shots, when to run outside in the beginning, when to go to ogres, and most importantly when to drop crota. If you have to crouch invis you need to count down the three seconds so no one gets a trigger thirsty finger. Make sure you have the ability to go invis with your super and the ability to blink strike crota. After going outside and you're going to kill the sword bearer have your team snipe him and have you shoot your heavy. When the sword guy is just about to die use your super and swing over to him, right next to the sword RT to go invisible. Make sure someone is distracting boomers and always, always ALWAYS go up right side. As soon as you hop on the rock call to your team to shoot crota. This gives you enough time to get to crota and he should be crouching as soon as you reach him. This is the time to hit him, make sure as you RT him push your left stick forward. This speeds up your sword hits and allows you to get 4-5. As soon as he turns orange drop the sword by holding Y and melee crota. Pick the sword back up and call out to drop crota. Get your next hits and go back inside (unless you're going for two swords then you'd swing back to the rock then call out for a drop and this will allow you to get 2-3 more hits) As you're back Inside collect your ammo and orbs getting your super back and checking crotas health. Shoot the glass to lure sword bearer to mid. If crotas health is at the coma go for 3 the first drops and 2 hits the second just to be safe. Remember he gets enraged at the R :). After this it's ogres and that's self explanatory. For the third third and final sword repeat what you've been doing, when he's enraged keep hitting until he's turns orange, blink strike, backup and calmly say drop him. Getting too excited could cause you to die, make sure all of his shield is gone before you start hitting just to erase the ability of getting smacked, after this he'll be dead. Good luck ^.^ Practice on normal once or twice to get the hang of it, when you do hard do it with friends so you'll be comfortable. I've done sword many times and I still get nervous running with randoms. If you have any questions ask me c:
