  • I don't believe that Warframe is better than Destiny. In my opinion, the games are too different to be directly compared to one another. Before I go further, I'd like to preface the rest of my post by saying that I last played Warframe several months ago on PC, so feel free to correct me if my information is inaccurate or out of date. What distinguishes the two games the most, in my opinion, is the character abilities. Warframe, obviously, has far more playable character classes, and therefore character abilities, than Destiny. The opportunities to use these abilities are more plentiful in Warframe because of the relatively greater abundance of energy, which is only compounded with one or more teammates using energy regeneration mods. Furthermore, Warframe's character abilities often have noticeable, if not a profound impact in combat, and due to the number of abilites available, makes every class unique and enjoyable. However, I feel that these character abilities detract a bit from the gunplay, which relies very heavily on mods in order to achieve desired damage outputs and performances, but allows for greater customization. Customization, however, may be argued to a point, in my opinion, because, from my experience, the same core mods are utilized in order to maximize performance for a given weapon, with perhaps slight variations used for combat against specific enemies. The movement system in Warfame differs dramatically from Destiny, due to the inclusion of the parkour system. However, from my experience with Warframe, the system is largely limited to specific areas that are conducive to parkour, or otherwise require it. Conversely, Destiny's movement system is more restrictive by comparison, due to a lack of a parkour system, but has better vertical movement, which is largely limited to a few frames in Warframe (such as the Valkyr's rip line and Nova's teleport abilities), and with relatively more limited uses, due to both the nature of the abilites and the energy requirements to use them. Warframe, as I remember it, placed far more emphasis on the PvE experience over the PvP experience than Destiny. Warframe's PvP is generally more limited in terms of player count and game modes (i.e. duels, which feature 1v1 matches, and Conclave matches, which may be either 1v1, 1v2, or 2v2), with the exception to this being the Solar Rail Conflict matches. Conversely, Destiny features a PvP system with more PvP game modes with higher player counts. Both games' PvE modes are enjoyable, and both even more so when playing with friends, although I personally found Destiny's endgame content (i.e. raids) to be more fun than Warframe's (i.e. Vault missions, and other such missions requiring keys). However, I do really enjoy Warframe's crafting system, and it's utilization of clan resources for specific items, among other uses for clans in Warframe. Ultimately, I think both games are great in their own right, but because of their differences in gameplay, I don't believe that a direct comparison can be made between the two. I believe that a given person's "better" game comes down to their own personal preference, which is perfectly reasonable.
