Not trying to offend or be pushy, but please explain this to us. Patch notes stated that auto rifle damage was going to be reduced by 2.5%. In actuality, the results are much different. SUROS Regime used to do 36 critical damage in the crucible per hit, now it does 31, a reduction of about 14%. Time to kill used to be .909/1.09 for critical / body shots, now is 1.09/1.27, an increase in time to kill by almost 20%/17% for crit / body.
Some guns have received no damage reduction at all, namely the high rate of fire, low impact one, they still do the same amount of damage as before. I understand that you said it was base damage, but how does this factor into the actual damage calculation when impact is taken into account? We were all expecting a slight damage reduction, what we now have is pretty drastic. What is the damage formula, and how does a reduction in "base" damage translate to actual in game effects? Please explain, some more transparency would be greatly appreciated, as of now we are all left in the dark and a bit confused by all of this.

Yeah it's annoying because pulse rifles are 100x better in crucible now and auto rifles like the Suros have gone down the toilet. I was beaten by the strangers rifle the other day. And I shot first and hit with all bullets
