A remaining imbalance in AutoRifles & the reason why I still do not use Necrochasm

The AutoRifle Problem: The RoF (Rate of Fire) modification, that Bungie uses, does not take into account the end-user loss of accuracy. For instance, a player using Suros has the time and stability to land nearly every shot as a precision shot. TRUE AutoRifles ('bullet-hoses'), with very high RoF cannot fill an opponent's head with bullets; the * Stability x RoF * makes headshots the exception rather than the rule. The current AutoRifle DPS (Damage Per Second) does not account for this, especially in PvE. This is why I and none of my friends use Necrochasm (the supposedly MOST RARE and supposedly MOST POWERFUL gun in the game [339 Damage Rating] ). In a word, AutoRifles with high RoF are pathetic. Please fix this. My Story: I LOVE AutoRifles... in other games. My one most important question I had before the launch of Destiny was, "Will there be truly automatic primary weapons and will they be any good?" Halo Reach had already broken my spirit for the franchise, with the surpassing effectiveness of the DMR. Deej assured me that they would have competitive and competint AutoRifles. As I played the Alpha and Beta, I was pleased to see that AutoRifles were compitent weapons. As I expected, AutoRifles had a limit to their efectiveness because of stability and a drop off of damage at long ranges. I was pleased. When the game launched, my wife and I stood outside for hours to claim our limited editions. It took me a very long time to receive an AutoRifle from a drop, but when I did I used it exclusively. I always ran with an Auto, Sniper (to make up for ranged targets), & Machine Gun. My wife and I are skilled and compitent players & she ran with Scout Rifles, so she always killed a little more than me, due to effective range. I was ok with that, because I had my trusty AutoRifle. Then Bungie issued the first nerf on AutoRifles and I found that there was no way that I could keep up. Bungie insisted that things were more balanced in PvP, but I quickly realized that they had destroyed my ability to compete in PvE. I continued to believe that Bungie would undo their PvE-AutoRifle mistake once they fixed the damage value balance on other weapons. In the mean time I settled for Scout Rifles and eventually for the class of weapon I had promised never to use, the Hand Cannon. I had faith, and then came another nerf to my favorite class of weapons, that I was already avoiding! Scout rifles and Pistols especially were the kings of PvE & I could never return to my beloved AutoRifles. Experimentation: My wife and I tested this theory on Earth, side by side.(We have two PS4s, two TVs, two Accounts, & two copies of Destiny) I used Atheon's Epilogue & Necrochasm at half the range and she used Vision of Confluence & Suros Regime on the same level and class enemies. We have matching characters, gear, and levels. Vision outperformed Suros due to reliability of headshots. Vision outperformed Epilogue and Necrochasm, even when the AutoRifles were at kissing range. Vision killed enemies in one-half to one-quarter the time. *Auto Rifles should never be thought of as an alternative to shotguns, like they were once in Halo. I do not care about the balance in PvP. Bungie you have riuned my, and many others, PvE experience. I have waited for months for you to fix the only weapon that I came to Destiny to use and now you have let me down. Simply because a great number of people use/used the AutoRifles does NOT mean that they are/were overpowered or supperior. People use them because they love them. The prospect of not being able to use an effective AutoRifle for the next 10 years (run length of Destiny) is overwhelmingly discouraging.
