Dragon Age Inquisition...

At first I thought it wasnt as good as Destiny just mediocre until i realized i was doing 10hrs of SIDE quests... I laugh now as I have played only 6 out of the 50 hours of STORYLINE content... Sigh I wish destiny can be as immersive and interesting... I think im sticking with Inquisition for a while... Destiny isnt the same anymore...

 • DA:I is great. I sunk a little over 100 hours into it and I've still got more to go back and finish up. Though, it's hard to get back into it after I put it down for a while. My one big complaint was crafting (and gear). By the time I hoarded enough stuff to make people better gear, something better would drop or I'd get a new schematic that needed higher tier materials. It also has the bizarre system of giving you loot several levels below your character level and the level of the monsters you're fighting. Which works in an MMO, but between drops and crafting, there is no other way to get gear... When you hit the endgame (23-25), you basically can't get or craft gear at your level. Certain materials are also limited, which forced me to make tough choices about who gets the best gear (typically the Inquisitor). Ultimately, the game left me feeling like I wanted more, even if I had to farm materials to make the best gear I could, but that's not even really an option with the top tier materials coming from a limited number of high dragons. It made the game feel like I was being limited at the end for no real reason. Being level 24 already trivialized the final fight, but why limit my equipment further? Maybe there's some future DLC that will offer up some higher tier gear, but until then, I'm gonna feel like I did at level 60 in WoW wearing all blues pre-raid. Seriously though, it feels like that is what's missing, some kind of end game content beyond the main story. Maybe I've played too many online games lately... I don't recall having this same feeling of limitation in Fallout (or as far as I got in Skyrim). The first dragon age game did have similar limitations to endgame gear, but it seemed like there was more quality equipment at the end to go around. That reminds me of another thought I had at the end. As annoying as it was to have to gear up all on my characters in the first game for the final battle, at least it made me feel like they were all important. DA:I let me stick with my strange crew of misfits (and sexual deviants) for the entire game. I never had to do more than have a few conversations with the other potential party members. Anyway, the game was great, despite its problems. I enjoyed it quite a lot, even though I have no interest in Orlais, which makes up most of the game's territory. I hear they are making some promising DLC though. Which I'm definitely looking forward to. I've been trying to do another play through, but the hinterlands can be such a chore to get through, especially after having gone back with my first character and wrapped up the last of the side quests. And it's late and I'm rambling...
