Hi. I'm at my wit's end. This problem has persisted for months now, and I'm finally at the point of asking for help. I've tried sucking it up and playing through it, but I just don't want to do it anymore. I just finished off Crota with three other players. Two of them got the raid helmets they wanted, one got a Monte Carlo, and I only got two Radiant Energy. I'm sure someone would agree that's a pretty mediocre reward for beating Crota. It doesn't even compare to the three Energy I got from the chest in the Abyss. This sort of thing has happened to me more times than I can keep track of. For example, I've killed Atheon at least 20 times, and I've never gotten a Vision of Confluence. In fact, he almost never drops gear at all. He's given me a Vex Mythoclast once, and another time he dropped two of the same helmet that I already had, and apart from that, I don't ever recall him dropping anything other than materials, Chatterwhite, ships, and Timebreaker. If he did, it was probably something I already had. This problem with undesirable drops applies to almost everything I do. Leveled up my Cryptarch - blue engrams. Leveled up my Cryptarch again and he was generous enough to give me purple engrams - both are Ascendant Energy. Leveled up my Vanguard - shader. Found a purple engram on a patrol - Ascendant Energy or a "why would anyone ever want to use this" weapon. Found a purple engram from a Strike Playlist - Ascendant Energy. Found a purple engram from the Weekly Heroic - Ascendant Energy. Finally finished the Nightfall - Ascendant Energy. Finished the Nightfall with two other people - they get exotics I don't have and I get Strange Coins. Finished a Public Event - Ascendant Energy...jk, nothing lol. Killed the Templar - Ascendant Energy. Killed the Templar on hard - Ascendant Energy. No Fatebringer, ever. Opened the chest right before the Gorgon Maze - Class Item. Opened the chest right before the Gorgon Maze with every character in a full fireteam - everyone eventually gets exotics that they wanted, except me; Ascendant Energy. Killed Atheon - it's never going to be Vision of Confluence. Give up. Killed Death Singer - Dragon's Breath for the 5th time. Killed Crota - Radiant Energy. Gave up and played Crucible - level 15 blue items. Dominated in Crucible - nothing. Got pooped on in Crucible - nothing. Carried the entire team in Crucible - the guy with a 0.08 KD/R gets a Legendary/Exotic, I get nothing. Played a whole bunch of Crucible - the same shaders over and over. Played even more Crucible - "Crucible-grade" items that are of no use whatsoever. You get the idea. I've been mad about this for so long, I'm exhausted. I kept going back to the game hoping it would get better, but it never did. Now, I firmly believe it never will. I feel utterly discouraged. I'm not even sure if there's anything that can be done about this, but I just felt the need to finally voice my problem here. I know I must sound like a whining little child, but I've put off posting about this for a very long time, and I've had all I can take. Sorry.
