Just came from a game of control where a fireteam of 6 were spamming thorn kills and golden gun. The score was 2000 to 20,000. Lol. This happens quite often. Fireteams are more organized and usually have a strategy for every map. Which is fine but when they go up against a team of unorganized randoms, it's no contest. I don't care how good you are, you will get wrecked. The matchmaking should put fireteams up against other fireteams. It doesn't seem like there's any effort on Bungie's part to separate random teams from fireteams.

Went against a team about an hour before dlc release that was waiting to try to be first to kill crota....all 6 had vex...it was ugly...i managed to get 8 of our teams 14 kills...couldn't even be upset, was quite all sight to see
-
Bump!
-
My cousin and I will carry any randoms to victory no matter who the opponent!
-
Yeah these matches normally end badly. One match against a full squad, the randoms and I were dominating. So much so the full fireteam left and we won instantly. lol

Edited by Doc SoCal: 3/2/2015 6:16:35 PMAn organized squad SHOULD have an advantage, they are trying harder to play in an organized fashion which is how you win team based games... (insert DUH here) Its not like they are using a tactic that is not available to all, you just have to be willing to do some legwork. The "Modern Gamer" approach of asking for things to be made easier because they don't want to try and use the tools they have to get on the same level in a competitive mode is ponderous. That's what FFA modes are for. Randoms. #moderngamer

It will try and matchmake teams against teams But only if another team is available
-
Played a match yesterday where they had 4 Defender Titans and 2 Gunslinger Hunters. They sat behind C on Rusted Lands and chained ward of dawns and golden guns the entire game. They only scored like 10,000 points in 12 minutes and barely won. It was the most pathetic thing I've ever seen in Destiny.
-
My team camps with defender bubbles and no land beyond and win lol
-
I am a pvp player more than a pve...control is so much fun. No radars tomorrow!
-
Bungie did "re-work" the coding a bit to ensure that teams would be matched with other teams. It's tough to get it to work every single time. It would be great if they had a separate Crucible mode for teams.
-
Yes, especially on small maps.
-
I think the Crucible should automatically put everyone into a team chat once you're sorted like the way Halo did. That way teams can at least use teamwork rather than just playing beside other people
-
I feel like you're just really bad...
-
The more I play crucible the less I play 6v6 game modes. Because of things like you mentioned, I play skirmish and rumble only now pretty much.
-
That's because there is no effort to balance teams in PVP. Playing Destiny crucible solo is the worst multiplayer experience I've ever had. Playing Iron Banner with a team is really fun though.
-
I'm more astounded with the fact you have 1100+ control wins and basically no other game modes played. How do you only play control? I can't stand it?
-
This is also why rewards are random and marks are three for win, two for loss. Winning or losing does not matter at all.
-
When i am on a team of randoms and im in first place, 90% of the time we lose. When im on a fireteam, im usually in the middle-ish area, and we win..................? dafuc?
-
So if you are fortunate enough to have 5 buddies and you go crucible together you should be penalized by going up against other organized teams? How about NO. Sure you may randomly go up against another team and those matches are fun but you should get the same cahnce of randoms as you do fireteams. That's the whole point of getting a team together ... to kill the randoms!
-
+1 to the fireteam then. And the way you sound, I think you play with randoms. And thats your fault.
-
It's actually not bad in crucible. Playing iron banner solo is ridiculous the first 3 days. Definitely a slaughter fest when all the try hards are out with teams of 6. Too bad destiny recruitment forums suck for finding clans. Been looking for a solid pvp clan for months.

Edited by yozoraknight: 3/2/2015 1:13:38 PMWhen my fireteam go in to crucible. My fireteam has no tactics for anything. We just fight for ourselfs. So lul

I think this sort of thing is tied to the available pool of players in a MM playlist. If they can match a group of 6 with another team of 6 similarly skilled players, then they will. But when there are not such similarly skilled sets of 6 players, they go to the next option of arranging some number of similarly skilled players who happen to be in different parties.
-
Hint: check roster while loading in orbit, when you see a full fireteam, press cancel, problem solved. Bungie should make a seperate playlist.
-
I was playing a match with a fireteam of 5 yesterday against a bunch of randoms. Got a 6.5 kd.
-
Edited by KidSixXx: 3/2/2015 12:27:15 PMI hate it too but it is not the other fireteam's fault for being good. This is why Bungie gave randoms have the Fireteam Chat so that they can also communicate. If the players aren't jumping into chat to communicate with you, then it is obvious where the blame should fall. It won't change because matchmaking will take even longer if there has to be code in the algorithm to match teams up with teams. The only answer is to get gud / get friends.
