One solution: Anti-Nerfing For PvE
There's only one solution to this, really. Bungie, you need to separate the stats of guns like how you did the shotguns. PvP weapons should work differently than PvP weapons as far as stats go. What I mean is, the stats on a weapon should be how it's intended for in PvE(case in point, the super hard to get exotics; like, NC should be the best gun in the game next to the MC in PvE) and for PvP the weapon should be balanced with every other weapon-type it's in.
[b][u]Ex[/u][/b]: Auto rifles in PvP should be balanced with every other auto rifle in PvP, but PvE auto rifles should all be unique and off-balanced to one another.
This would really solve the problems with guns being nerfed all across the board for PvP and PvE. People will be glad.

5 RepliesI believe that most players play PVE. All the nerf complaints come from PVP players, and the PVE players suffer because of it. Prime example is the vex mythoclast.

2 RepliesCould take a lesson from GW1; Well balanced PvP there. On a side note: Bungie really needs to work on De-PvP'ing this game. Everyone likes different aspects of this game, and others. Remove the PvP requirements on Bounties, bring back the ability to sell materials. Who cares how "Elite" other players get?? with no trade system, how could it possibly even matter?? Try this route and you might find more people linking up with "junior" players in PvE to show off their awesomeness. Right now, I'm so disappointed with all the emphasis on PvP and "Social" encouragement that I have no plans to buy any expansions. Sorry Bungie, I like to play games that offer me "my" way to play.

I've made multiple posts about this too since the first nerf went into place. They should have done what DC Universe Online does, separate PvE and PvP weapons and armor. That could explain the different marks they kept. Let PvE enjoy unbalanced guns that keep changing with new models released frequently and PvP have well-balanced stuff to keep the crybabies under control. What a dumb decision to link guns and armor together and then pick PvP to cater towards at the expense of PvE. That is a guaranteed way to greatly increase the hatred between loyal PvP and PvE players. I just add this to the huge list of really stupid ideas and decisions Destiny was released with. It still doesn't replace #1... Missing CTF modes.

1 ReplyAR are rubbish. While your devs feast in PvP, everyone in PvE are just hiding in holes, resignated to watch the battleground taken by foes. You cant supress fire, you cant stop them from advancing, you can only hide and snipe. Great game!

4 RepliesIt's funny how every gun nerf since the beginning has been forced on both sides. Everyone said it's too hard to separate them and just STFU since PvP is the sole of any game to last a long time. Now BOOM, shotguns are buffed only for PvE. Amazing how that came right now. It's like they wanted fodder to toss when the real base community, PvE players, say we only get gun nerfs. Even my 8 year old noticed that changing guns while patrolling punishes you by loosing ammo and taking a long time to re-equip. He wanted to know why they did that since other games don't. I told him I don't know why even though we really do. Bungie is carefully tracking what guns we use yet they have a system that punishes you when you change and is not quickly accessible. I'd love to swap around guns all the time but the system forces you to pick the best gun for you to use. At least we have those awesome emotes for the D-pad instead of the normal weapon/armor loadout. I hope the jackass, yes I said JACKASS, who made that decision got a nice bonus. Soon he will be working for the federal government with great ideas like that...

1 ReplyBut what if in the future they want to release a mode that crosses both. Like if the factions turn against each other and not only are we fighting the darkness but other guardians out on patrol. Would we not need weapon balance throughout the game for this??!??!

1 ReplyIf they can disable ammo synthesis while in a crucible map(confirmation they can separate PvP and PvE) they most definitely could have a system that would only apply NURFS to certain items when a player enters a crucible playlist.........

3 RepliesHere is my problem, until recently, I only had a suros as a exotic, wich I was content with, considering that was my wepon of choice anyway. I have been playing destiny since beta, and never had the good fortune of (what seems like) every one else, to have multiple exotic guns to play with. I now have a handful more, all purchased through xur, with the exception of bad juju, and thorn, but suros is still my choice, it is what I have fun playing with. Now that it cant do what it was originally designed to do, I am forced to play the game differently, just to be competitive. It is quickly becoming less fun to play. Im not a complainer, I dont have a bunch of posts saying how unfair the game has been, I have been content, pve'ing with friends. Now that has changed, and my sword of choice is no longer sharp, and like most gamers, once my attention is pulled elsewhere, destiny will become a fond memory. Thanks for all the fish bungie. Fix auto rifles, or this is the fate you face, people finding other games that give them what they deserve, and that is choice, in how we play. This is coming from a long time fan of your games, all the way back to marathon. Embrace the community, we know what is best for the game, we are the ones giving up moments of our lives to play this game, alow us to express ourselves as we see fit.....

AR are trash. I have the three exotics and two legendary. You cant harm a dreg. While the community is laughing cuz they use handcannons, things are worse in Destiny. First: its now a hide 'n shoot game. You actually find a hole and keeps shooting from there and that's it! New strategy? You mean new hole. The battleground belongs only to the enemy. Of course that was the niche of AR, but as it sucks right now, you cant supress fire, run and hide. Second: it's now really dull, boring half an hour for everything. You cant revive mates cuz you'll get wiped by the horde who freely wanders around. Unless you have the arc hunter with invisibility (again the "hole" strategy). This is rubbish. The game was awesome and today is just torture. I wouldnt be surprise if they did it all just to keep selling dlc and comets, promising the return to the garden of eden it was back X-mas 2014. Hope your country army ARs be twice as rubbish as your own, Bungie. #stupiddestiny
