So, I was just accused of cheating...

Yeah, I was accused of cheating once!

I'm constantly being accused of cheating.

I haven't been accused of cheating. Yet...

Here's what happened; I recently dominated in a game of Combined Arms on First Light. I used mostly the Pike and the Interceptor... the other team didn't know how to properly counter vehicles, so it was open season on any idiot on-foot and out in the open. In the end, I got the highest score on my team and "The Best Around", with only 2-3 deaths and plenty of killing sprees. I head back to the Tower to turn in some bounties, and I get a message from some random jerk; he says I had "red bar" (though there wasn't any lag in the game at all) and that he had reported me and sent a screenshot to the "T.O.S" (I assume that stands for "Terms of Service?"). So, I'm being accused of cheating, eh? I sent him a message telling him he was an idiot and a sore loser, and that he was just bad at this game before blocking him. I think this is the first time I've been accused of cheating in Destiny; though it's happened a few times over the years when playing Halo. What about you guys? Anyone accused you of cheating in Destiny since launch?

    • So, look, don't take credit for wins and "idiots in the open" when you're a red-bar. Let me explain lag to you. Destiny servers do the matchmaking, then hand off to a peer-to-peer (P2P) connection. As I understand it the person with the best connection "hosts" the other 11 players (in this case, since you were playing combined arms). Since you had a red-bar connection, of course you wouldn't see any lag - because you were creating it. What the other players will see, is you jumping around the map (because your position doesn't update continually) as if you were "blinking." The other players can't see your actual position, don't get you on radar and, when they do see you, it is often not where you really are, because your position is not updating correctly. They can hit you straight in the face with a shotgun and do no damage, because you are not where they think you are. You often have an advantage in melee as well. So don't be an ass. Reset your router if your connection is bad (yellow or red). Otherwise you are taking advantage of your situation and are rightly being reported for cheating.

    • Dont worry they were just blaming lag cause they sucked. Barely any lag EVER in this game if you have good internet connection. Tell that guy to fix HIS connection.
