A Letter of Apology

To the Men and Women at Bungie Hello. First off let me start by saying, thank you 1) Thank you for making a game that has kept me engaged for hundreds of hours 2) Thank you for making a game that, so far, can't be replaced by by others (COD, Evolve, The Order, etc) 3) Thank you for staying the course, despite an extremely critical, and often hostile community I admit, I've been vocal in my frustrations at times. Believing my gripes to be justified, and finding any number of reasons to vileify Bungie for my grievances Destiny has its short comings to be sure, but when I look at things honestly, the game has no competition for my attentions. I've logged countless hours with my friends. Raids, crucible, nightfall, strikes and more. As a whole Destiny is a fantastic game that is evolving and getting better I apologize if, as a fan, I've let petty gripes turn toxic and allowed small things to take away from the overall truth that is Destiny. That being, it's still is my favorite game to play, I'm excited for more and I dare someone to do better Some will disagree with me, others might troll and that's OK. I do believe however, that if most of the community, who is complaining about the game, were to suddenly find themselves without Destiny, their gripes would quickly turn to lament Thanks for all your hard work guys and gals, thanks for evolving I apologize for those who think their grievances are an excuse for bad manners, foul language and insulting behavior towards your work and your persons Deej I sincerely hope you do not lose your passion for the community due to the less enchanting side of gaming. I've followed your posts, updates and community efforts for years and I tip my hat to you sir. You've done a fantastic job. Thank you for driving not only the game, but charitable efforts for many good causes To all the haters, complainers, critics, trolls, know it alls and Fairweather fans I say this; it's easy to spew criticism and hate at every turn because you think you know better. It's easy to debase yourself by acting like a spoiled child and hitting the forums with all your unbridled flare and pomp. It's easy to destroy and spread negatively. Just remember at the end of the day "the average work of art, is more influential than your opinion, designating itself as some sort of supreme authority". Keep it positive, keep it respectful and show some appreciation for something that has kept you coming back for hundreds of hours, despite its flaws Thank you all at Bungie and thanks for all the fun. Because at the end of the day, that's all that really matters In a video game. I'm still having loads of it with Destiny Sincerely Jon

You don't have to worry too much about what you call the haters, which I would call disgruntled fans. Many of them are gone, which is a problem... What we are left with are people who feel the biggest problem with the game is the lack of Vault space, not enough gear, buffs and nerfs. That way, it will remain the addictive, skinner box, hamster wheel it is.

    • I find this interesting. Its like Destiny was just ahead if the curve in terms of the sub par game market that has came about. Literally most, if not all, games recently released have been utter let downs.

        • Good feedback man. More people should learn from your example from what I see on these forums. Lot of nastiness on the forums. It's a video game. People need to relax. Internet just allows for people to act like total idiots sometimes with little to no repercussion. Like anyone wants to see a topic the starts with "Blam" whatever... For real...
