READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION! I'M SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO REPEAT IT! >:(
I would personally would love matchmaking for the Nightfall strike. DeeJ said,
"Since players are kicked to Orbit on team wipe, we want people to be able to preserve that group so they could give it another go."
So what if, once players click on the Nightfall Strike or are kicked to orbit. They have an option on whether or not to look for new players through matchmaking or keep the players that are already in their fireteam. This would solve the problem that DeeJ has on why matchmaking couldn't be done for the Nightfall Strike.
By the way, since some people aren't understanding this, I'll make it more obvious...this would be optional! If someone didn't want to use matchmaking they don't have to.
A kick player option would be nice for the afk people. But no it has not been full thought out through. That's a different topic.

No cause now I get afkers for strange coins screw matchmaking seriously all the complaints about oh I can't do it I need matchmaking thats bs and you all know it and now you want more afkers for the nightfall lmao

Edited by Midknight00711: 3/2/2015 1:57:40 AMEasy fix: DONT KICK TO ORBIT! It's a -blam!-ing stupid gameplay decision. What does it accomplish other than griefing the player with more load screens?
-
No because I like the challenge of doing it solo.
-
What if they change the nightfall to restart the strike instead of being kicked to orbit
-
that DeeJ jackwagon lies like a -blam!-ing rug they wont do matchmaking for one reason it will speed up player advancement and actually aid players remember this game is so tightly controlled by these fools you literately have zero say in both the development and appearance of your character ... remember this is a bungie game it was destine for epic failure the moment it was released

Having matchmaking for nightfall is a no for one good reason that happens a lot. I say no because there will be that one or two assholes who just shit behind and do nothing to help and just do nothing thinking that they can get a chance for good loot. Thus makes the nightfall 10 times worse and alot more painful than it needs to be. Strike sitters (that's what I call them) are assholes who don't want to do any work for any reward they are lazy fat asses that don't get the right to get endgame rewards like the other people who actually do the strike. This is what the world has been built on work for reward video games and real life and that's what a lot of people fail to see that's why people want trading so they don't have to work for a reward. Do something like matchmaking or trading would ruin this rule for all RNG based games.
-
Is it so terrible to have all options up in a modern game? Is having a choice between single player, co op or fireteam of your friends, and a matchmaking system too much? I know games that came out ten years ago with more options.
-
It would be really annoying of someone left in the middle of the night fall because it's already happened twice in the weekly strike
-
Save it kid. There are too many little kids on this game that don't want an optional matchmaking. They bitched and bitched and bitched about the weekly one. They kept saying how it will never work. Well...it worked flawlessly for me. It's a strike....a striiiiiiike. Here's a little trick. Look at who's commenting on wanting to solo the NF and then look at who is pissed about AFKers. If they are the same people then they are just the typical douchebag anti matchmaking fegguts that have been holding this game back from day 1.
-
Only if its optional. wanted to give the matchmaking for weekly a chance (twice) and i saw the problems already. One person was afc mostly and moving controls periodically and the second time (i have three 32 characters) i pretty much soloed the boss because both of the other guys died barely into valus. They werent even worth my time to revive. Matchmaking is ridiculously worst idea ever if its mandatory because if i take my usual squad and its there is a disconnect w one person at the boss

then why should a random benefit to collect loot.
-
The matchmaking should be optional. Bungie shouldn't be shoving it down our throats. I think matchmaking should be there for people who need it. People who enjoy Destiny, but don't have friends who play with them. At the same people who want to do the nightfall without a random shouldn't be forced to do so.
-
I personally think all matchmaking should have opt in/out options tied to them if they are going to put it in the game.
-
Only if it's optional but nightfall is obviously more of a social thing because more time is spent on it
-
Just make the entire strike a darkness zone. No need to kick anyone to orbit.
-
Edited by Guns24 7: 2/28/2015 7:04:00 PMNO! I already deal with asshats afking during the weekly heroic. MM is for weak players that can't solo and don't have enough friends or just can't find anyone to run with them because they suck. I enjoyed soloing the weekly and still enjoy soloing the NF. Get friends or don't run it but don't force me to carry your sorry ass through it. Edit: Apparently Bungie doesn't know how to make it optional. Besides, we don't need it, optional or otherwise. The last thing Destiny needs is more code to cause glitches and errors.
-
Only shit skills need teams for nightfalls and weeklys. No matchmakings for either.
-
Edited by ThortheTgod: 2/28/2015 6:39:11 PMOr have bungie stop being lazy and make matchmaking optional and no bringing a fireteam or not does not make forced matchmaking optional. Some of us do not like carrying people and some like soloing. Simple solution to a stupid problem. Edit: just a small note to ensure that you know im not flaming at you.
-
Nah. Matchmaking is for casuals. Go make friends.
-
Add 2 options to all strikes: --Press x to stay with fireteam during loot screen --play without matchmaking (ie solo or just your 2 man fireteam) Got a good roc team? Wana keep it going? Just press x. Good nightfall team? Just made 1 slip up and now you're in orbit? Press x and everyone who feels the same can stick with you. I cant remember what the game was but i know the press x option exsists in a shooter i played. It worked fine too.
-
Need two for weekly. Gt is the same
-
Problem with nightfall is it only takes one bad player/bad moment from a good player to mess it all up. You know in a normal strike when one guy runs ahead to the darkness zone, messes up and dies? Yeah, you don't all go to his checkpoint. Y'all go to orbit. Maybe a nightfall in game LFG so that someone can have booting power, but matchmaking brings problems that can ruin the nightfall. Weekly strike? Not so much.
-
This week when I did the Heroics, I got paired with a 28, 29 first time, and a 30, 27 the second time. I carry people all the time, but that's when they ask, or they're my friends. I don't want to carry low level Randies through the Heroic, let alone the nightfall too
-
I don't have friends to do the nightfall with, but I don't want matchmaking. I'd rather scour the forums looking for a fire team than get paired up with two level 20s looking to get carried.
-
The problem i have is that this activity really ISN't for everybody. I played the weekly with randoms and they died about 15 times. Imagine them going in the nightfalls they'll just be a complete burden. Wanna do the nightfalls? Do them with your friends or randoms by inviting them
-
I really dont care for nightfall matchmaking
-
Do nightfall with randoms?
