Lose gear while using the app?
Hey Gaurdians,
Lately I've noticed a growing number of posts commenting about this issue. The majority are mainly from players using the app, though it has happened on the site as well.
While it is known that lost or dismantled gear cannot be recovered, there is a way in the meantime to greatly lessen your chances of your hard fought gear being sucked into the abyss of cyber space:

Yes it may be monotonous, though it will ensure for the time being that your transfers are kept safe. Also, you may end up making some additional friends in the process.

Edit: In some instances while using the app players have reported their transfers arriving at a later time, as well as being sent to other characters.

5 RepliesSee I don't believe for a second that anybody actually lost their stuff going to the grimoire score and check to see if they even had the weapon in the first place and I believe people are trying to see if Bungie will give them some free stuff

Yeah it got me I had the inventory screen up on my Titan looking at heavy weapons. Needed the swarm. Got on app switched from hunter to vault then from vault to Titan while my inventory screen was up and it never showed up. Used app before and this first time it happened. Think the screen thing had to do with it

Newer iPhones seem to have the least problems. If you really don't want to take the long trip to the tower (although I agree, it is the only way to truly avoid the problem), then I suggest that your internet connection is running smoothly. Also, ask around and ask about this problem, and avoid transferring on devices that have been notorious for such bugs. Hope this helps!

1 ReplyWow..never knew there was an issue with this. Heard about the great feature but not the bug. Just transferred an ice breaker, a word of crota, the hunger of crota and the crota scout rifle as well.. Does anyone know if Bungie is fixing or even knows about this issue? I am pretty much done with the game if I really can't get these back?

Both weapons are currently equipped on one of his characters. Just the forum trolls wasting Bungie's time with fake bugs. Nothing to see here.

I just lost 17 strange coins transferring them from vault to my character on the app. Good thing I didn't try to move all 34 I had :(

8 RepliesOn Wednesday night I deposited lots of stuff in the vault at the tower, in game, not using the app. I deposited exotic shards, radiant and ascendant materials, relic iron, helium filaments and motes of light. When I went back to the tower and checked the vault they were all gone.
