What is the darkness? Is it looming chaos, or a devouring hunger to end all of existence? Perhaps so. The Traveler sits over Earth, broken, yet still alive. The speaker warns you that the darkness approaches, and that this time you may not be able to stop it. What does he mean by this darkness? He seems to know of it, in some way or form. The speaker and the Traveler, are like archon priest and servitor. The Speaker worships our traveler for having protected us, and carries out its voice in return. He builds an army of guardians to serve the Traveler. And the darkness they know of, or the traveler knows of, is something with a desire to end all of existence. It's the same hunger in the pit of the Hive for light, and to create death. But the Hive are at the forefront of those wanting to end all of existence. Perhaps greater armies, under oryx, perhaps, will soon see to our local system's destruction. Knowing of this, the Vex, Cabal, and Fallen are scrambling to find fortification for the coming apocalypse. The Vex are way ahead of the competition, having marked 3 (Mercury, Venus, Mars, maybe more.) celestial bodies. And having made a bunker within the VoG on Venus. In this Vault of Glass, no enemy can see to the end of the Vex. But they were wrong, as we have thwarted their Vault, and have destroyed it's ruler, Atheon. Their test of the Vault was a failure, but they will learn, or perhaps present new enemies to us in the future to defeat us. The Cabal are fascinated by the Vex. So are the Fallen. They both, such as in the Archive for the Fallen, are attempting to learn of the Vex, and how the are not bound by time. They see this, as hope, to persevere sometime or somewhere else. You see, this Destiny, this is where you go if you want to survive. Some may go, some may die, some may stay.. It's a scramble of survival when certain doom lurks. The Traveler, was built to sustain and promote life where it goes. But the Darkness, is all evil that wishes to end it. Whether the Vex is a survivor or a minion of darkness of its own nature, we won't know now. But it's attempts at survival is timeless.
