If you think you must have a hunter to run sword;
You're a fool. Period. I joined a PUG last night with some friends I was assisting with the raid, advertised as a sword Bearer for the team. Initially, everyone was fine with that, until.... GASP! YOU'RE A WARLOCK! ?
Yes, I am. I just killed Crota with a team that was three 32's and three 31's. It's no problem.

Well, after a few pointless minutes of rhetorical stupidity, I just shut up. You can't fix stupid. And if you're going to go on, and on, about experience, and time in the game; be certain you have more time in, a higher grimoire, and more raid clears, or just STFU. Ignorance seems to be a hot commodity on the forum. There's no shortage in some of the PUG's either.
I won't be responding to comments from the peanut gallery, I'm just making a point. Some of you are myopic idiots. Some of you are brilliant. Anyone can kill Crota, not just hunters. Invisibility is a crutch.

I myself am a titan who frequently runs sword and when I join random raid teams to offer my service as a swordbearer, I always find prepubescent kids screaming down their mics "Omg hes not a hunter hes not gonna be able to go invisible omg drop him!!" Only for me to flawlessly wreck crota on our first attempt while they all start apologising for doubting me. :D
