I recently watched a video on youtube talking about aspects of destiny that are missing, and one of the topics brought up was a progression metre that caught the attention of the gamers and gave a goal to work towards with a garanteed reward. Currently in destiny the only real progression metre is xp gain after level 20 where you are rewarded one mote of light at finishing the metre. At the moment the game lacks the true aspect of reward. Each exotic or legendary doesnt feel like it has truely been earnt (aside from nightfall and raid boss drops). The vendors are probably the clostsst thing this game has got, but even theyare at the mercy of rng... I have currently hit level 25 on dead orbit and recieved one shader and i have a friend that has hit level 40 and hasnt got one.. Doesnt seem fair for his hard work and grinding. What i am proposing is a progession metre that ties in with the factions. Say bungie adds in a new garanteed reward for certain levels for each faction (i.e. Level 50 is a garanteed shader as well as the package?) Also they could add an exotic reward for the factions.. This is where the title of the topic comes in... Say bungie adds a garanteed exotic drop for players that reach lvl 100 on one faction or maybe players that reach level 30 on each of the three factions. As it is the game has given too many easy ways to acquire exotics and they dont feel rewarding as such. If this idea is implomented it would give the community an actual reward for their grind.. It would also be easy enough for the dev team to imploment into the game (i believe.. Im not qualified in game making so please correct me if im wrong) For all those that will read this and think that the levels i put up are way too high, this is because they would be exotic rewards! They need to be EXOTIC! Something hard to acquire!
