Gunsmith; Create Your Own Gun

WARNING: Long post What if in Destiny, you can bring a common weapon, for example the PSI tempus pulse rifle, and upgrade that weapon into a rare or legendary weapon? This concept is based off the Gunsmith (durr) and if you dismantle a rare or legendary weapon, it has a 1/100 chance to drop a perk from that weapon i.e crowd control, and is stored by the gunsmith so you can add them later on. The perk that goes into the Gunsmiths "smithing storage" is like a consumable. Spend it on a weapon to forge and it's gone. but it can also be stacked like consumables. Now I want to add something and it's called Forge Ranks. Forge Ranks start at 0 like every other faction and the Gunsmith can also put up bounties like kill X enemy, with X weapon type, X amouny of times, and it can reward you with perks that are added to his smithing storage. once you level up to rank 2 in the forge ranks, you can ask the Gunsmith to smith you some rare weapons types. reaching rank 3 (max lvl) will allow you to make legendary weapon types. Making special weapons to heavy, you can choose what elemental damage you would like, even kinetic. Primary weapons will always be kinetic damage and you can't change it. To forge a Gun, you must take a common weapon, and bring it to the Gunsmith. You have the option to upgrade to rare, or legendary. If you upgrade to rare then you have a max of one perk, and three mods that are currently available that you dismantled from rare or legendary weapons. Upgrade to legendary you get the same option as rare but a second perk as well. Note: exotic perks cannot go to the forge. Forging blue weapons costs motes of light and weapon parts, while forging legendary weapons will cost motes of light, ascendant energies, and weapon parts. Fully making a weapon will give it its highest attack rating (for legendaries right now it's 331, for rares it is 294.). Sadly the weapon will keep its name, so for example a gun crafted with the name Cydonia-AR2 will keep its name even when forged, so people can tell if you forged a weapon or not. This is a concept I would like to see in destiny, and there is some grind to this. From relying on RnG to get a perk you want and having a chance to get that perk once its dismantled, to buying white engrams from the cryptarch, hoping to get the weapon archetype you want. Whether it be slow fire rate high impact auto rifles, or high rate of fire low impact autos. Getting those ascendant and motes, along with weapon parts. It still should contain a grind to craft a perfect weapon you'd want. And bungie, if you're listening. Make sure this does not go with DLC, make sure it is free and available to everyone. You can implement this into a weekly update or make a big announcement to the Gunsmith, but please don't make the playerbase spend money for such a concept and people would come back to Destiny. Honestly this would make the game more appealing and more fun since im going to be hunting for perks I really would like to craft a very good weapon. If this is a good idea please bump. -HerroItsAJ Edit: Feedback appreciated:)
