To all of you Star Wars fans out there....
Most of you must say that the best lightsaber fight is the battle between Luke and Darth Vader in Episodes V and VI. However, I have a different opinion. My favorite is....wait for it....*gulp*....the Duel of the Fates (Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vs Darth Maul). It has a sense of real danger and it establishes Darth Maul as a dangerous foe. If I'm not in the mood for that, I would go with the Episode III fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan. So go ahead, Star Wars fans, keep telling me how the fight I chose is bad because Episode I sucks (II is worse, but I isn't so good either), I won't change my mind.

1 ReplyEpisode I's fight was great no doubt, but it didn't change anything due to the fact the movie was ass. If you could sit through the entire movie without getting bored, you deserve a medal. A medal of patience. And Episode III was the best choreographed hands down, but I still have to go with Luke vs Vader. There was, and never will be nothing that was more important than that duel imo. Oh and another personal fav was Yoda vs Sidious.

Duel of Fates is my favourite battle, but I don't really like The Phantom Menace. The only good parts were the Duel and that Liam Neeson was Qui-Gon

Agreed. Killing maul off and replacing him with an 80 year old man was so idiotic in the extreme. Cheap ass obi wan takedown.

1 ReplyMy favourite one was when Han Solo, Legolas and Spock duelled on final destination. The bit where Wolverine came in and used his batarangs on Master Chief was awesome!

The fight in Episode I is awesome; it's the one redeeming quality in that film. Lucas was stupid to kill Maul, he would have made a great antagonist throughout the prequels. Nothing will ever beat the raw emotion in the final Luke/Vader fight, though. Anakin/Obi-Wan comes close but it isn't the same.
