Defense for 31's

I am a level 31 Titan. I realize that all you level 32's out there with your glowhoo's and jelly-horns look down upon me and my friends for this fact. You say that we are weak, unskilled, unfit to battle those who we wish to vanquish alongside you. You say we are lazy. In some cases you are right. But you have put this stigma in almost every raiding party I have ever tried to join, which only further our suffrage in the zone of 31. Most of you think that if you are not 32, then you do not deserve to be even in the same fireteam. This is not what I think, and I think it is wrong to label all of us as "not good enough". Here are some reasons why I'm not 32 yet. I'm not saying that it is not my fault, In some ways it is, but I do have my own ways of playing the game. 1. My internet is a potato battery with a paper clip sticking out I can't count how many times I've been kicked from xbox live just for patrolling the cosmodrome and doing missions for bounties. Its gotten so bad that I'm used to it, and can almost predict when a certain action will be to much, such as switching from the crucible, to the tower, back to the crucible. I am planning on getting a wired connection, but not in the near future. As it stands, I can't be on consecutively for more than about an hour before it alerts me that you can't play destiny without xbox live. Which leads to the next reason... 2. I don't have 3 maxed out characters I don't even have 3 of the same characters that most of you have developed. I have my titan, a lvl 15 warlock, and a level 3 hunter. I thought that it was a good Idea to experience everything the game has to offer, from jumps, to abilities, to gear. But I was wrong in my logic, while I was trying to get the hang of the warlock jump, (which from a mainly titan perspective, is utter defecation) others were making the same character and just playing the story all over again with no change. There are a few reasons why these two aren't maxed out as well, one being the internet problems I spoke of before. I can't switch characters without the game crashing and falling into a million bits and never coming back together for hours. Another is that the hunter doesn't belong to me. I gave my sister a character to create for christmas and promised that she would be the only one to touch it, but she hasn't since. I'm away at school a lot so it gives her time, but she is just preoccupied with other games to remember to play. 3. I have school. School consumes me from the moment I wake up until 3, and sometimes even 5:30 when I have sports. that leaves a total of around 4 hours on average to play before I call a quits and start my homework, which I have a ton of because I have to get good grades to stay at this school my parents send me to, thats our deal. 4 hours is just barely enough to do all the bounties each day, plus the weekly, nightfall, raids, and just goofing in the crucible each week. And now since I have my weekends away from my xbox for work, (which has caused me to wake up at 5 just to check on xur every Friday) I have even less time to spare. I do crota and weeklys, every week with my buds, but then I just can't do anything else the entire week because I don't have the other characters, and all you 32's won't let an experienced player like me at least try the hard raid. I don't even have the boots or the helmet, my eris rank is only halfway past 2, and for gods sake, I know I shouldn't be complaining, but instead of the shards or raid gear I need, it gives me energy, and THE SAME EXOTICS I ALREADY HAVE. So please, all you level 32's next time one of my kind enter's your raid, give them a shot at least to get a checkpoint, and if they just plain suck, then kick them. And for my level 31 bros, keep trying, and don't give up on those shards. I really hope this wasn't too long for a first post, but I just wanted to express my opinions. Peace, don't forget to bump

  • Doing Crota on Hard, we had a level 31 defender. He held up just as good as the other team members. Later, he had to get off, we substituted him for a 32 defender. I saw no difference, he didn't die less or more as well. Level< Weapons< Skill
