New Feature: Legendary Shards
[b][u]Can we get 50 likes?[/u][/b]
Do you love your beautiful Fatebringer? How about your atheon's epilogue? What about your beautiful VOG raid gear? Here's my idea:
[b]Legendary Shards[/b]
So they basically work like exotic shards. It can bump your Fatebringer to 331 and also boost your legendary weapons/armour before the dark below to be equal to weapons and armour now!
Don't see why this is a bad idea....
Thoughts?
One idea I particularly like is [b]buying them from the gunsmith with motes of light.[/b]
That way, the gunsmith would be [i]way[/i] more useful!

3 RepliesThere will be Legendary Shards. They will be used to upgrade the new HoW raid gear. Super-duper shards will then be used for the Comet DLC raid gear. More on topic, while it would be cool to have a 331 Fatebringer I do feel that raid gear should become obsolete. If you want current max attack primaries with element burn you need to do the current iteration of the raid. Weapons dropped within it's own raid should be arguably the best weapons to use in the raid and this would not be the case if everyone had a 331 Fatebringer. Just my opinion, honestly wouldn't mind this happening but you're invalidating completing the current raid as the VoG gear had better perks. TL;DR - I don't think any old raid should drop "better" weapons that what the new raid offers.

Nope. I know a lot of people don't realize how raiding works on consoles but this is how they work on PC, you do them, get the gear, wait for the next to come out then dump all your old gear for the better stuff. There's no reason to have a 1st raid weapon when the new raid weapons are already better. Otherwise everyone would keep doing VoG and only do Crota for gear.

This game is about progression in my eyes. If you make ALL gear upgradeable it would defeat the purpose of that. Everyone complained that the vendor sold gear that made them higher level than VoG gear. What's the difference. VoG gear = to new raid gear. Sounds like hypocrisy to me. Just my opinion though.

I'd even be willing to spend an Exotic shard to bump an old legendary to the new attack/light level. Don't think we need to add yet another currency to the 27 already in the game.

2 RepliesThe only issue would be the light level. People that do not own the DLC are not allowed to reach level 32. So as far as the armor I would say no. But for the weapons, I 100% agree....since you don't need the DLC to have the current top weapons...
