Another pay to win post, go figure! I was fine with it until I saw exotics and high lv materials. And I had enough materials to completely upgrade my first legendary so that isn't necessary either.

Edited by Scrotimere: 12/31/2014 5:41:30 PMWell that's the great thing about a digital store. There is no inventory space. And yeah, I have to agree (I will add an edit) the new Radiant mats and gear that requires new mats should be earned not sold, I was a bit over zealous with that. However, the older mats would be nice so I'm not stuck in VoG all day farming for purples to dismantle so I can get all my alts up to raid capacity. Not everyone has the patience and time (no pun intended) to raid 12 times a week AND keep up with the other weekly/daily activities.

Edited by FightinFinn 2-7: 12/31/2014 6:00:01 PMneither do I! I have yet to play a raid due to time constraints and lack of friends with this game, but once you add a micro-transaction store to a game it is almost guaranteed that it will turn into a pay to win game. I have seen this in alot of pc games. planet side 2, warframe, warthunder, ect. And I can't think of one game at the moment that has micro's and doesn't fall prey to this profit mongering tactic. EDIT: If you have examples of games that don't fall prey to the above method please post here. I must know of these unicorns so I can see them for myself.

Edited by Scrotimere: 12/31/2014 7:32:42 PMWell I can't argue with you there, the potential to be ruined like many other pay-to-win games is there (I also feel there must be at least one game out there that wasn't/hasn't been corrupted by greed, the universe is infinite after all). Greed ruins just about everything, more so recently with the development of fiat currency (aka IOU fake money) . Back to the topic at hand though it seems that many people are ok with the cosmetic side of the store but not the utility side of it. I think the only thing affected by allowing us to buy guns would be the Iron Banner which is an easy fix: Don't allow store bought items into the Iron Banner. The store would be there to help you get up to snuff for the new content (especially if you are a noobie or a casual gamer). When the next expansion is released (or if rumors be true Destiny 2 is coming next year) all of your grind was for naught because you again have to upgrade. New content gear and guns would not be available through the store but you could complete your collection of older guns while preparing to earn and upgrade new ones.

I would like to see this idea work but as I mentioned above I just have no faith in any corporation not nickel and diming us.

Yeah I feel like it's already happening with the new expansion. A nickle in 1900 is worth about $40 today so here we are dissatisfied deluded and disavowed. If they are going to be crooks they should at least be upfront about it.
