•
Posted by: Yoozel More or less, the flood had a few idiots. Then the mods got super charged with more powers. Let's just say a few little 'problems' were taken care of... forever.
*cough* Davester... Damn, I have the most terrible cold today.

 •
Posted by: Nephus
Posted by: Pink Menace 3. Don't explain how the forums run unless you have been here for more then... two days. You won't be taken very seriously.
first, I've been lurking for quite a while, and second.. out of all the game forums I've ever been on, this is by far the worst. Every time I look at the first pages of each subforum, there are constantly threads about changing this, removing that, halo sucks, the sword is a cheater's weapon, if someone gets a headshot on me and I didn't see them then they are cheating, I stand in one place and get killed when I shoot at people so they all must be cheating, (insert lots of stupid cheating related crap), these features were vaguely hinted at by an unreliable source so I want my money back since they're not in the final game, etc. etc. etc. Then there's people like you filling in the ranks... thinking that because they've been around for a couple months that they're special. I have been a regular at some boards for YEARS at a time, and I've never seen a bigger mess than this one... well, except maybe one of the old GTA forums that crashed and burned when even the administrator gave up. Even some of the old dialup BBS stuff I used to be big in during elementary school before internet access was even available around here was better than this, and that was over a decade ago. Granted, most board admins had a serious complex about being some sort of god/dictator, but the users were more behaved... that's for sure. Don't explain how forums work to someone who has a lot more experience under their belt just because they're new to this one. This place is a mess, and you damn well know it.
And what makes you any better then everyone else who is constantly complaining? You're not any different. You don't try to make anything better. In fact, your actually trying to make it worse! It doesn't matter if you have been at any other forums. At all. Oh. You might be a little more familliar with the rules and such, but that's it. Don't think that just because you've been sitting around with nothing better to do but post on forums for years and years at a time, you should be more educated in the Bungie.net forums then a regualr forum user like me, or even someone who has only been her for a month! Tanikaze being a perfect example. Everyone here knows that the forums are a mess. It's said all the time. I never said that they werent. But it isn't going to be any better if all people do is -blam!- about how much people here -blam!-. And you damn well know that.

 • Well Nephus. It's mainly the infamous New Mombasa that's like that, sure The Flood has a few idiots here and there, but it's pretty tame for the most part.

 •
Posted by: DooMNukeM
well, except maybe one of the old GTA forums that crashed and burned when even the administrator gave up.
I bet that was a mess!
oh it was. He didn't even bother to shut it down. He just left, and all the mods went soon after. It just dissapeared when the hosting ran out. Imagine total forum anarchy... especially with the mentality of the typical GTA player. "huh huh huh... I just slept with a hooker and then beat her to death to get my money back... I'm gunna do it again!" "Why not actually play the game?" "This is more fun!" you get the picture. Now imagine 600 or so of your typical spammy pre-teens going nuts without regulation whatsoever. Total madness.

 • Yeah, I think all these gys scared away the mods too, I haven't seen one in a while. I miss them, we could really use them right now, we got people posting what they wish and calling all halo 2 lovers the N word (not the racial term, the forum one). And at the same time oldschool members are going crazy on these guys trying to make them shut up and accept that halo 2 is different, but the best game in the world. Now all they do is lock posts and blacklist, and don't remind us that even though it calls for flameing, don't do it.

 • Nephus, not only has John Masterchief broken several spamming rules, but he's pretty obviously just trying to get a sticky thread. This forum does have problems, and you know what is the source of those problems? 500,000 members. So obviously, this forum will work just a tad differently than what you or anyone else is used to. He should not expect to be taken seriously.

 • 2. no one on this entire forum does anything but complain about how everything should be changed because they don't like to adapt to anything, complain about "n00bs", or just complain about Halo 2 in general. If you attempt to start a meaningful conversation, you will be flamed, or simply informed that many months ago the same topic already existed (even if it was only vaguely similar) without any further explaination. Give up now, don't bother posting anything.
