**MUST SEE** Sony's attempt to reconcile for down servers!!
Not sure if this is legit but if so I wanted to share it with the rest of you all.
I will continue to search for more information as this continues. I will also regularly monitor this thread for any information you guys discover and if it's in conjunction and beneficial I will add it to the original post. Thank you all for your help getting this information to the community.

4 RepliesLet's be realistic, the network has been down for 2 days not 2 months. As long as credit card numbers and personal information haven't been stolen like in 2011 they really have no reason to give away free games this time.

This is from when they got hacked a few years ago and were down for a month and a half. They have been down for two days. If they give anything it might be a free month of ps+ and that's it. I doubt they will even do that. But hey I just got around $80 in free games this month so I can handle a couple days of down time.

Just saying don't expect the same response as 2011, least they had further issues such as your account info being compromised, which very well could be possible in light of other events. If so I'd push for the year free credit which they offered in 2011 as well. I've always been a big fan of Sony, hope they get things straightened out sooner than later.

2 RepliesYeah, but then you realize that those 2 free games they are giving away you already have them. Wasting money on a service that can easily be brought down but takes too damn long to restore. Might as well move back to Xbox for the sake of my own patience and time. PSN is still down in Maryland, but how cool is it that I actually went to the depths of my closet to dig up my xbox 360 and play the shit out of it with my BF, while the new games we got are sitting duck and collecting dust already. If this shenanigans keep happening I wouldn't mind turning the PS4 into fireworks for July 4th.

6 RepliesI will confirm this was offered after the service outage in 2011. They were very generous, part of the reason I stayed with them, they give customers so much on psn over Xbox live offers every month, free games, exclusive themes, etc. Sony hasn't always been perfect, but they're pretty decent sometimes.
