Guardian Down - And its your own fault
What silly mistakes have you made that have gotten you killed? Or what silly mistakes have you made that have cost you or set back your progress in Destiny?
To name a few:

* Getting stuck on a tiny pebble when trying to run from a gunfight.
* Throwing a trip mine grenade at an enemy and then the enemy rushes you.
* Mistiming your grenade throw or rocket as you pop out from behind cover, only to have it explode on the wall in front of you.
* Someone walks in front of you as you fire your rocket.
* Someone activates a Ward of Dawn Bubble just as you fire your rocket.
* Running out of ammo during a gunfight.
* Jumping or walking backwards and falling off the map.
* Being in cover near to an explosive box.
* Killing a Hydra and then going to where it died in hopes of picking up ammo.
* Using your melee, melee super or shotgun against a tough enemy with alot of health.
* Accidentally using up your double jump boost too early on a long descent.
* Thinking you are in a safe spot and trying to change your weapons only to be taken out
* Trying to revive someone while enemies shooting their corpse.

* Accidentally deleting the wrong weapon or armour.
* Not having enough coins for Xur on the weekend.
* Skipping an item that Xur had for sale only to regret it later.
* Completing bounties without equipping the right gear and weapons.
* Completing bounties for the wrong faction.

Blinking in front of someone's face with your shotgun and find out you're out of ammo.

In VOG on the Templar, when the relic holder has the audacity to melee me into a wall. Killed by the architects. I'm also looking at you, phalanxes.

Having an enemy shoot my Tripmine grenade before it even leaves my hand -_- reason why I stopped using it.

On solo nightfall about to go into nexus area. Waiting for mates to jump in and help. Had rocket launcher equipped and accidently hit shoot while grabbing the controller and blowing myself up. Hello orbit.

Miscalculated jump distance for fist of havoc. Completely missed then got shot to death.

1 ReplyRelic holder in the raid. Making the shield while time vengeance on the middle platform. Trying to fire a super in the second time vengeance ends, because my mates already jumped away. Aciidently hit melee only. Melee myself from the platform. Can't jump up cause I'm a warlock. Watch myself slowly fly down in shame.

1 ReplyWell I had a run in with our favorite big stupid robot the Nexus when he shot one of those explosive Legos while I was very stupidly hiding near one waiting for my health to jump back up. I got exploded.

I was around 60 or so and at the start of moon strike my friend ran me off the cliff with the sparrow while I was switching my weapons. He didn't know but it was still depressing

When you think the boss only has 1 health left, so you run up to it and melee it. And it doesn't die. You melee it 3 more times. And it doesn't die. Then they kill you with their melee, and your friend jumps up and kills them with their melee.

This rarely works out well for me. Generally forgetting which character I am playing gets me killed. Hmm. Danger! Time to blink out of harm's way. Huh. What? Why am I floating high in the air so everybody can shoot me? Oh yeah. Warlock. Tossing a grenade right into the wall where I am standing (not out at the intended target) has a habit of ending poorly.

In the Omnigul one I kept rushing forward too fast. I wanted to get it over with.

I was dominating and running over cabal in my interceptor but I missed a phalanx and he/she shield charged me from the side. Knocked me out of the interceptor and landed my body though a door. I imagined his cabal buddies were like, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAL!"

I keep forgeting NOT to throw my land mine to enemies up close... especially in nightfall.

400 points behind on Control during the last 30 seconds. Tried to Vortex Nova Bomb 5 guys at B on Shores of Time. Except I keep forgetting that I switched up my perk to Lance from the last match. Tried to make a glorious sacrifice by blinking to the side pillars. Over shot my Nova Bomb and fell to my death. Cartoon wa, wa, waaaa....

At launch I was doing the Nexus strike, the boss was almost dead and my teammates were both dead. Thinking I was a boss at this game I activate bladedancer and kill Sekrion, the strike end timer activates and then he blows up, killing me and the victory doesn't count...

2 RepliesEarlier, I was 8k/9k on the Unstoppable bounty. Ran level 12 Summoning Pits for the Exalted Hive bounty. I was killing the Hallowed Knights outside of Phogoth's room. This random ran into the boss room and killed himself with a rocket. "The Darkness has consumed you." ... It reset my bounty.

For some reason I thought that crashing an interceptor into the tank on the Mars strike when it was at low health and suicide bombing it would be a really cool way to kill it. Half of the plan worked.

I was trying to get flawless raider. But I ran up the steps where the templar spawns and I got shat upon :(.
