Ever since I reached LVL 18 with my Warlock I've only been able to get the same two armor styles. After about 3 weeks of playing nearly every day I'm now LVL 23 and I can still only get the same bunches of uncommon Axiom Coven and the occational rare Nemesis Plane. What makes it worse is that those two armors look nearly the same. How come I can never find anything else? I'd love to finally get a drop for a different armor style to change up the look of my character. It just doesn't feel like I can really customize my charactoer to look like I'd like while I progress. Instead it feels like a cookie cutter Warlock that Bungie invisioned for my rank level. Wouldn't make much more sense to drop all the styles randomly with equal or very slight boosts to defense while we grind for months for Light level progression. It would be nice to be rewarded with something new to wear even if it doesn't progress me character right away. I wouldn't even mind if I got common or uncommon styles with defense and light values that matched my character level. Sure those wouldn't give me the perks of rare or legendary armor items but it would open up more options for players to choose what they wear. I don't believe that armor styles should be a determining factor of a characters rank. You can see other players rank quite clearly on screen even from a distance. I have no problem working for the rewards, but getting the same reward over and over again gets really old....Oh look another Nemesis Plane drop....great thanks =( My gripe doesn't have anything to do with progression. I'm perfectly happy grinding away for progression. My gripe is that I can only do it in one kind of armor day in and day out. Didn't Bungie spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for artists to make different armors? Ive seen pictures of them online so I know they exist. So why can't I get something different for my character to wear until the time comes that I can finally be lucky enough to get some pieces of Legendary armor. Doesnt it make sense to get a wardrobe full of common, uncommon, rare and the occational legendary armor with nearly equal armor values. Then when you finally get a hold of a rare or legendary item you can be really excited about the strength, discipline, intellect values and feature bonuses. Imagine talking to your friends with equal LVL and defense values and being able to brag about the special bonuses your legendary gear has over their common and uncommon ones. I understand you don't want to flood players with materials from them dismantling all the armors they could get, but maybe materials from dismantling armor could be more random. Maybe players could only get materials from dismantling uncommons occationally. Please help me and others with the same Guardian vanity problem have a chance to actually customize our character to look how we would like them too. Right now I don't feel that customized. Right now I feel like I can only change the color of my Mark IV armor. As cool as Master Chief is I'd rather be Noble 6.
