You could go back in the alpha, but not in the beta. I went in the alpha, and it looks much larger than it is. It's a relatively small area. There are cliffs and invisible walls preventing you from going very far. I doubt it'll be explorable in the full release.

Well, there's a gap where a bridge collapsed, but it's VERY jumpable. When you try to jump across, there's an invisible wall in the way. The lack of Polish regarding the boundaries is what makes me think it'll be inaccessible in the final release. I think it's just meant to be a pretty intro scene area.
