First of all the Hunter is worthless I'm raids. Blade dancer will only allow you to take out large groups of trash mobs. An AoE grenade can do that same job. The golden gun can only weaken a high priority target, then I found out a head shot with a sniper does more damage than a single shot from the golden gun. The Hunter is the most complicated and useless class there is when it comes to raiding. And every class is dps. I can be a sun singer lock and still do as much damage as a striker titan. Your entire argument is invalid sir.

  • It's hilarious how people are still basing a class's usefulness on the super alone. If you have bad gunplay, no matter what class you are, then you're not fit for a raid at all because based on what we have seen, this isn't all about your abilities. So don't discriminate any class based on its super because you might just miss out on some really good players that could probably get you through a raid easier than others.

  • 1. Which is precisely what is needed, at times, to deal with the ads that often surround a boss. A smart fireteam leader would set a Bladedancer Hunter to protect the flanks of the main group attacking a boss. 2. No, a grenade can't do the same job. The enemies in Destiny are quite skilled at avoiding and in minimizing damage taken from grenades. Plus---if set up and handled properly---a Bladedancer's super can be SELF-SUSTAINING when attacking large waves of enemies. Grenades aren't. 3. Same is true with the supers of other classes when going up against a boss. 4. Golden Gun doesn't require you to BLIND yourself while attacking as is the case when ADS with a non-exotic sniper rifle. 5. Yes, but you won't be able to take the same kind of damage as a Titan. So----between episodes of deploying "Radiance"----you're going to have to keep your distance from powerful enemies, and be mindful of avoiding being over-run. A Hunter is a more agile and versatile fighter than a Titan...and a more durable and self-suficient one than a Warlock.

  • You guys are giving this raid way too much credit. I'm 100% sure a group of 6 hunters will be able to clear VoG

Sure no problem. The brought in 4 Groups of players split into to 4 teams. 3 groups got too last boss on first day. 4th didn't every try. No where does it say 16 hours or what the teams did on the first day besides ramp up. And more importantly didn't even discuss the makeup of the raids. So your post about 16 hours is totally irrelavent to this discussion.

  • It's not invalid. You just proved exactly what I'm talking about. Hunters will get shunned. Also I think hunter will be great and here's why. You just said most of every classes damage comes from guns. Well the hunter is the only class that actually has skills that are for your gun. Chain of woe, gunslingers trance and quick draw. Those are the only three skills in the game that help with your gunplay and they are all from the hunter. You can argue quick draw isn't really gonna help with how much damage your gun puts out but it wouldn't be a good debate. Reason is when you strike an enemy with melee it takes a while for your gun to be ready to shoot. With quick draw your gun is ready instantly. That is going to make a huge difference.

  • Chain of woe was sexy. That reload speed got me going.

  • I enjoyed the hunter in a strike because your only job was to kill. In a raid u will need more than a few bullets and magical grenades. Teamwork. But like I said hunters only have one use of you want to talk about skill trees

  • How is that going to help you in a raid. Having a weapon at the ready. Chain of woe increases reload speed after a head shot (or is that gunslingers trance can't remember) I don't need a hunter being a benefit. They are lone wolves and there skills can show you that. Golden gun for (sometimes) single shot kills. Blade dancer for ripping threw ads. None of the hunter's skills can help a team only himself. A warlocks nova bomb can even the playing field by taking at large groups same as the Titan's fist of havoc. The golden gun is 3 shots. Maybe more if u get lucky with keyhole. 3 shots 3 kills. 1 shot many kills. The blade dancer will only help taking out the trash. Just leave him at a spawn point and allow him to chop through enemies. So yes the hunter will be shunned in a raid because they are useless well barely useful.

  • Exactly hunters will be more so a valuable asset for PVP teams in the crucible rather than raids.
