Why I used to be a bitter...

Man, we're getting really close to the release and I find myself getting excited. That said, I wasn't not to long ago, I was actually pretty upset at how Bungie has handled Destiny. Bear in mind, I love Bungie. I've been a fan since Marathon, and became a rabid nut for Halo in all it's forms. Love them so much that I got the Seventh Column tattooed on my left forearm. But the problem with being so into Halo, was that by extension I was very into the Xbox. I honestly didn't really see any console as being 'better' then the other, with the exception that one of them allows me to play Halo, and the others don't. As a result I couldn't help but feel awfully betrayed after their E3 show last year. PS4 gets timed exclusive DLC, and most of the footage they show off is of the PS4 build. Felt like they we're spitting in the faces of everyone who had enabled them to get the big deal with Activision to make Destiny in the first place. We made them the company they are today and by in large, are Xbox owners. Even now, there is precious little love to be found for us on b.net. And I allowed that to kinda poison how I felt about Destiny. Having said ALL that, I feel...better. I loved playing in the beta, and the closer we get to launch, the more I feel the way I felt before a new Halo would come out. I'm just excited to get back into a good Bungie game. Sure, they handled alot of this pretty poorly, but at the end of the day, I really love the games you guys make. So much so that I have a permanent reminder whenever I look down, and I don't regret that. I'm not ashamed to admit that when I was younger, the fun I'd have when I'd play Halo with my friends, saved my life. I owe a lot to you guys, at the very least a thank you. So...thanks! And I can't WAIT to play Destiny!

  • It's scarred from an accident and I need to get it touched up soon, but it's my permanent reminder.
