Would break the lore unfortunately. To prove that, there's a map called "City Perimeter" multiplayer map which is outside of the city a bit. The guy from IGN doing the map walkthrough video explains how the last city is starting to expand its walls and take back against the outside. Basically saying, there's nothing attacking us anymore, we attack them. We're offence not defence.

  • I agree with other poster on this. Should be something like a flash back maybe see how your gaurdians died or something. It could even be called "The Last Battle of the Golden Age". It sounds pretty sick in my head at least!

  • If they made that as DLC i would buy it. It could have a recommended level like fallout did with it's DLC, which would help out story wise. The guardians making the last stand would have to be tough. If your tougher then so was your guardian at the time of his defeat. It could be a story arc about how you overcame even your greatest strength from the life before. It could start out as some signal the traveler sends out to all guardians, and the ones that were at the wall when it fell go there (maybe continuing this same progression we go to the twilight gap).

  • And playing that arc could let you unlock the third subclass ;)

  • But you would still have to defend sometimes there is no way we could always be fighting

  • Yes, but it could be set IN the lore of the game. You know going in, via a short cut scene, that this is a historical battle and you have to try and defend the wall from everything that is coming at you until the time where the traveler can save you.

  • Wouldnt work with the current last safe city on earth. Would have to be somewhere else. As according to the lore, the Traveller "died" or went to "sleep" or wtv at his current spot and ppl then started to build the last city under his shadow over hundreds of years supposedly facing no darkness attacks on the city during that time of construction and renewal.
