Badass women are badass, mainstream female protagonists are far and in between. Examples? Wonder Woman, Korra from Legend of Korra, Satsuki Kiryuin (Yes, I'm a weeb), Lara Croft and Fem Shep to name a few... way more than the endless list of male protagonists. People may give bland excuses like: "Oh, I don't want to stare at a man's ass because I have to verify my heterosexuality or that females are the strategically better choice because smaller hit boxes..." Yeah, oOoOkay. I don't think this is the right answer, for some reason it sounds wrong to me. Deep down, everyone (males and females alike) wants to see a [i]more [/i]powerful representations of the female gender. Personally, I love seeing awesome, complex characters of all flavors; females especially and I think everyone else does too. Its different compared to the early representation of women in video games. Just sayin' "Badass women are badass."
