Im a little upset that they said there would be exclusive for the PlayStation network considering bungie was a xbox original

Because everyone one i play with is on 360 but i love this game enough just from the beta that i would be willing to part way's with it for Destiny

Destiny wasn't even going to be on Xbox consoles so consider yourself lucky that you even get it.

Get the bleep over it, it is business and nothing more. Bungie helped design and develop the PS4 and Sony made a deal with them JUST like MS once did. Shoes on the other foot and eventually it will be available.

Bungie is actually a Mac original, Microsoft just happened to throw a lot of money at them at a time where they were looking at contracts with several people such as Activision. At least Activision is allowing Bungie to sell on both consoles and is letting Bungie keep the rights to Destiny unlike Microsoft and Halo.

Edited by Missionboiii: 8/21/2014 3:29:48 AMNo, when they were making halo it was a completely different game than what it was right now, they were almost done with development but one of their old games had a bug where it completely deleted everything on a computer and that deleted all of Old Halos stuff, then Mac left Bungie and when all hope was lost for them Microsoft came and helped them by obviously giving them money and a better studio. So no, they didn't "throw" their money at them, they helped them without Microsofts help Bungie would of never made some of the best games. Also why does everyone have to make an assumption that Microsoft throws money at game developers and I am not saying they dont but not all. And don't throw false information trying to make a console competitor looks like enemy which they are not at all.

Yes, Myth II caused a glitch on one Japanese hard drive which wiped that player's hard drive causing a massive recall. This was not a glitch on the Bungie developer computers. They had been getting offers from game companies, such as Activision, since before they even made Marathon, they just ended up going with Microsoft, saying they were happy to work with someone who was video game focused and enjoyed the opportunity to work on the Xbox. They also said they although the recall caused financial uncertainty, the buyout/contract was not something they had to do. Microsoft does indeed throw money around, and the contract with Bungie for Halo kind of sucks, leaving Microsoft with the license for the game. Prime example of Microsoft throwing money around is when they finally offered Square Enix so much money they simply couldn't refuse to start porting Final Fantasy games to the Xbox. This also lead to a break within the company leading to the development of a second company that dealt only with Playstation, though I can not remember the splinter company's name.

Actually Bungie was facing bankruptcy. Halo would have been on Mac, but MS bought it as an exclusive and it's forever in house now.

Your point is? The game was erased and because of that action they didn't have enough money to recreate the game so Microsoft came in and brought them back to their feet.

Did not know all that. If that's true then Bungie got a good break. But back to "I'm upset Playstation is getting exclusive" Sony paid for it. And it's only timed exclusives. I have a 360 and will be getting a one. I am happy we even got the game, and we will eventually get the "exclusive" content
