Suggestion: Rogue Areas (PvP and PvE)

I had a brilliant idea yesterday: locations in Destiny that are PvE but allowed you engage in PvP. Perhaps there are high reward, public missions in the area, and awards are given to the first fireteam of guardians to reach the location (with a timed reset). There can also be high risk, high reward Public Events that will make guardians second guess just killing other guardians they encounter in this area. I am imaging wide open spaces with the occasional derelict building. The close quarters would be really interesting if players were allowed to do a proximity chat, as it could allow players to talk safely and perhaps join forces into a fire team... or trick each other. Anyways, that's my idea. Feel free to share your opinions or add to the idea!

    • PvP is already in the game. We don't need to have area designated in PvE for PvP.

I think this would be a fun thing to have, yeah it may not fit with the brotherhood guardians have, but that's exactly what pvp is. It could ve implemented well as a different game mode as a PvPvE, where they open up the existing world areas for u to explore, but with the added risk of battling other guardians. For the history, maybe something happened down the line where different factions fall out with each other

      • Great idea, but it should be against those that are not in your fire team, because usually when there is friendly fire (hardcore mode on CoD) my allies usually and hopefully accidentally jump in front of my bullets. I don't want to kill them, so I was hoping for a safeguard for fire team members. Also, these "rogue areas" should have special events. Like only one fire team can get the rewards, so everyone will be fighting other fire teams along with the enemies because no one will get the reward if there is more than 1 fire team alive in the rogue area. (The rewards should be very rare). And also have a new event where you can race with sparrows, and you can have your allies shoot down other racers for the finish line!

      • This kinda goes against the idea that Guardians are our saviours/protectors from the darkness. They're not armed mercenaries trying to get one over on each other.

        • This sounds ok, but they have to make it blatantly known that you are in that area. It was annoying in games like GTA5 when you kept getting killed by one turd waffle over and over again.
