Does defence matter in the Crucible

I understand it doesn't unless it's in iron banner, but what about the passive abilities for armour in normal crucible games from the pick between armour agility and recovery.

Yes, armour, recovery and agility do have an effect, albeit a barely noticeable one. See Datto's vid for more detailed info. Defence rating has absolutely no affect on standard crucible and only matters in iron banner.

If recovery has an effect in PvP, I believe the other two stats do as well. But I never tested it so I don't know.

    • I hope there's some variance in defenses with PvP otherwise any defense/armor friendly builds (Defender Titan) will be at a huge disadvantage vs ability/damage or recovery based builds

    • ive been wondering the same thing because if it takes 3 headshots with a scout rifle to kill a guardian of each class, then whats the point?
