Add a quit percentage tracker for MP stats, we will be able to see who are the legit players, who are rage quitting scrubs.
EDIT: players who are stressing over a dnf because of a connection issue... There should also be a joker card system in place where you get a set amount of cards each week, that allow you quit games without affecting your quit percentage, but if you have used up all your joker cards then your percentage will go up depending on how many times you quit... I give a shout out to xelthas for this great idea.

Bump for legit players, post your thoughts.

First: I think that Bungie should implement a system like a few people (@Th3Devi1Hunt3r) have said that allows you to turn off the option to join a match that is already in progress (basically you can either spectate till the match ends or just not join in general if you dont want to wait) Secondly: I agree with the dropping percentages for rage quitting but seeing how it would be difficult to determine rage quits as appose to force quit due to connectivity they should make a mulligan system. Much like the joker card system you were talking about but not for quitting matches but for those unexpected disconnects. With this system you will get a certain amount of "mulligans" determined by your quit percentage and can earn more via gameplay. (completing mission, raids and so on) With the ability to choose not to join a game in progress you dont need to quit unless your team bails on you. Then in which case the mulligan or joker card system would let you get rid of the last game played. I also agree with the showing your quit percentage and lowering your percentage if you quit frequently cause what good is 5.0 K/D if you quit 8/10 matches. Allow a set amount of quits per week which would give you the opportunity to get out if your team already has. Along with the quit percentage thing there could also be penalties to play if it drops below a certain point (temporary disconnect from multiplayer play, reset of stats or something that makes you want to keep from quiting) Lastly: Remember this is a game and even though I too have fallen victim to the K/D machine before I try to remember that I'm playing this to have fun and not worry about the stresses of life. The last thing I need is to be stressed at work, home and in a video game. haha

If that is implemented, then I would be happy. They should also turn off join in progress or at least give me the option to turn it off.
-
You're making me do work man :l But yeah I guess the thing would be cool
-
As a person who had is whole team drop out on him I can agree.(This made for one hell of a match.)
-
Hell yeah! Scenario: Dumbass says "look at my k/d! I got a 10.0!" We can then look and get to reply "oh yeah... Look at that... Your quit percentage is 45%... GTFO!" Lol

This is a good idea. I will just put this out there. I will do this KISS style. lets say you play 100 times and only have 1 DNF due to connection issues this would make your % 99% but then you play 100 more times with no DNFs this erases your Neg % and puts you back to 100% Lest say you play 100 times but DNF 50 times your percent is now 50%. Now lets say you write Bungie to explain that you had internet problems and should not be punished. Well your % should still be 50%. If you were really having internet problems then you would not have Quit or DNFed 50 times. Smart people would know something is wrong and looked into the issue rather than trying to keep playing. You then play 100 more time with no DNFs your percent goes up to finished 75% of the time. The more you play and finish the more % climbs until it is back at 100%
-
OR.... and this may be extreme... but have them make it so where the system knows if you quit or if your dropped due to internet problems, and if it recognizes that you quit, have NONE of the kills or deaths count toward anything.
-
What would be unfair to that would be the CoD curse. Lag to be precise. If Destiny is plagued by lag in a game why should players be forced to stay?
-
No, because what if someby connection messes up or if some went wrong with the game server, then that persons quit ratio will be damaged amd it wasnt his fault
-
How would that stat make any difference. The guy will quit anyway whether you know he will or not know.
-
Great idea, would be an interesting screening method if you are in a raiding or a matchmaking clan.
-
Would be nice...just posted a bit of a more in depth thread for this if anyone wishes to contribute and add ideas...
-
GREAT IDEA!
-
nice balancing idea! I like it! you get a cookie cup!
-
Yeah okay
-
How can you tell the difference between a rage quitter and someone who has internet connection issues?
-
Oooooh that would sweet! I hate quiters!
-
There have been quiet a few of these posts so far. I totally support this, because it was already implemented in a game I played on the PS3 (only that there was also penalties included). I won't go into details to my opinion, because I ddon't want to right a wall again... For those worried about occasional DCs or having to quit the game for a sudden matter, they could implement weekly "Jokers", that will avoid your withdrawal % to raise when you quit a game. Once you're out of Jokers, you're withdrawal will rise everytime you fall out of a game (DC included). I'm sorry about including DCs, but there are just too many cable pullers or people who would just turn off their PSN. So, if DCs wouldn't be included, there would be no point in doing something like the % at all. Unless you don't DC 24/7 you should be fine. Going up to 3% isn't a problem and aborters will get easily over 5%.

I hope Bungie adds this and an option to avoid players. You don't need years of research to know the difference between buttmad ragequitters and people with connection issues.

"Account has not played destiny"
-
That is a fantastic idea.
-
No to this idea from OP, but K/D needs to be taken out of Destiny all together.
-
Do you want a quit percentage stat tracker or is this forum full of jokers that hide behind fake stats?
