It's cool and all but me and others I played with had an issue. No matter what the settings on the PS4, chat audio came through the headset and TV. Which was immensely annoying to me and is the only reason I preferred Party Chat.

That's why you mute the sound on you're TV..
-
On xbox one there was an option in the settings to change where voice chat came from. You could have the chat be heard on tv only, headset only or both...
-
Same on the PS4, but even when set to not come through the TV it did. Maybe they fixed it though, maybe not. It's cool how it changes your voice, but I still prefer party chat.
-
I know they have profiles for the PS4 headset which let's you raise or lower the volume on only the chat. I couldn't get anything but garbled noise so I muted everyone.
-
Not sure about that one. I mute my TV when I use my headset.
-
That's the thing. I want the game to come through the TV but all chat to go through my headset. Destiny Beta is the only game I had a problem with making this happen. Not sure what the issue was but I wasn't the only one.
-
And that is EXACTLY why I don't want the ability to hear everyone in this game. People like you. People that wear a headset AND have their TV going. hahahhahaha Thank you Bungie! Again, Thank You.
-
Right, except you can't hear my TV through the mic because my TV isn't blaring. I know this because I asked the people I play with. Funny enough, the one guy I play with who doesn't have the game coming through the TV, I always hear the game and myself. So no, not thank you Bungie.. Thank people who apparently know what volume control is.
-
Everyone says that. Trust me, they hear you. They are just being nice. InstaMute
-
Yeah, my normally dickish friends decided to be nice when I asked if they could hear my TV when we were busting my other friends balls about hearing his TV and ourselves. Somehow, your theory holds no water. It's called volume control, and my one friend doesn't have it.
-
Hey, it's all good. I'm not the one that has to listen to ya lol.
-
Uh huh, this is exactly why I posted on this thread. To talk about volume control, and dickish friends who don't have any while be told by a complete stranger that has never heard me on mic tells me I'm that guy. Cool thread, but posted and bumped this more than expected. Tootles, my friend with lack of volume control.
-
PX4's and TV on Mute. No issues on my end. Who the -blam!- uses a a headset with TV volume anyways? Peasant
-
I'm not sure if slow or didn't read, but I'll reiterate. Tootles means goodbye, or maybe you've just become attached to my sweet silk like... typing. I understand, man crush. It happens every time I enter a thread. Name calling though? That's hurtful. Your mother and I will speak of this matter upon her arrival for her 3 o'clock mustache ride.
