So, Destiny - like most FPSs - has an adjustable look-sensitivity option that scales from 1 to 10. Now, I've never been really into PvP, but I'm wondering - since I kinda wanna up my game in this area with Destiny - what do you have your look-sensitivity set at in Destiny? For best control, speed, aiming, accuracy, etc.
During the Beta, I kept switching between options from 3 to 8 and never found a setting that gave me the best edge or survivability in PvP. And I know it's personal preference, but if you think you're pretty good at PvP, I'd just like to know what you think works best for you and why.
(I was only allowed seven answer options in the poll, so 1-2, 5-6, and 9-10 are doubled up. Feel free to answer in comments after answering the poll to clarify your setting and why you feel it works best for you.)
Thanks!

Every person in the game should be 10 given you do 1 rotation every second at maxium. its a joke. at 10 you should turn at lest 3 times a second if not more.

I use 10 but it still feels slow.. they should up it to 15 or something... turning seems REALLY slow for me..
-
I play on sensitivity 1 at sensitivity 1 my aim with the hand cannon is perfect
-
I use sensitivity 10 in Destiny because for some reason Destiny has slow aiming even at 10. 10 actually feels like normal aiming speed compared to other games.

Edited by RespawningJesus: 1/21/2015 5:16:50 AMBest sensitivity is the one where you are most comfortable/most accurate. I used to be the player where it was high sensitivity or bust, but ever since I lowered my sensitivity, I became much more accurate at a wider variety of ranges. So experiment, and find that solid ground where you feel that you have the best control over. After you find that right sensitivity for you, you gotta practice. You aren't going to be good just because your sensitivity is at a certain level. You gotta understand the game to get better. Anyways, try with a sensitivity at around 5-6 and work your way up or down from there.

Edited by Shorty 1170: 8/8/2014 3:42:28 AMI thought destiny sensitivity was very slow, and I don't usually use the highest available. After about 2 mins of playing and adjusting I had it set to 10 and it still felt slow. So slow that when I went back to titanfall it felt to fast to control.

the aim sensitivity on 10 is TOO SLOW, really. The game have to please both casual and harcore gamers. This is a fps game, those ho enjoy games like bf, cod and others playing on higher sensitivity, will find a dificult time playing destiny. FIX THIS CRAP, give us at least a 20 sensitivity. Give us a option to enjoy he game the same way casual player do.

I think there should be two look speeds. Anything under 6 is super sluggish. But when you are ADS it moves like its on 15-20. Doesn't make much sense. We need options for hip and ads

You have what we call a "sense crisis" just pick one that your good with and stick with it. Don't keep switching it.
-
Also don't judge your aiming ability in explore mode because the aim assist is much higher in PvE than it is in pvp. Just a little tip (:

Honestly if you want to get good at PvP then you need to learn how to be accurate with the highest available sensitivity so you can snap from target to target seamlessly. To do this properly put your sensitivity on a little higher than you got it now go into pve and play around with it then when that sensitivity becomes comfortable go up a notch or two until you get to ten. This can take a few hours or even days but trust me it will help....

The default settings were way to slow for me, but I have played a lot of twitch shooters in the past. I had to bump it up to a 7 or 8 before I felt comfortable with it.
-
It really depends on what you're used to and what you think is better .
-
Look sensitivities are not to be played with, nor are they a magic fix to lack of pvp skill. Find one that feels comfortable for you and practice. Comfortable doesn't mean "i switched to this sensitivity and suddenly i'm god!", it means "I can aim with full precision yet maintain flexibility!" I play at 5.

4, don't know how people play at max level, that's crazy, jedi qualities. Proud member of the clan causing a sensation THE GRIMGUARD .

In the majority of fps games I play a high sensitivity. I played at 10 but I wish it went higher. :)
-
5 for most FPS games.
-
I can handle 10 but 6 feels better :)

Edited by Mystro612: 8/8/2014 11:24:18 PMPlayed pve for awhile on setting 8, was a bit too much for crucible though. Ended up switching between 4-5-6 depending on how I was reacting. Edit: Hoping that they do something about the turn speeds in general. Turn speed was jumpy due to the "throttle" caused by running then walking. Left turn speed bias due to the weapon being on your right, making right turns slower. *Yes it's a thing.... :( Maybe we'll find a more *true setting for ourselves once the game is polished and launched.

10 ALL DAY (Schmidt voice)

I always start at 100% sensitivity. Play 10-15 minutes then adjust as needed if needed.

Edited by Sebasto13: 8/8/2014 6:15:14 AMThe sensitivity of destiny is very low in 10 :( We need 20 max please!
-
I started at 4, did ok. Then 6 was better but settled for a 7, that's the most responsive one, imo. But its all preference. For a comparison, I play bf4 with 24 sensitivity, I found 7 was the closest one.
-
How the hell could anyone play on 1 or 2 lol I didn't think that was possible.
-
I play my fps with low sensitivity. I usually will change it down to a 1-2.
