IF they were to make gear tradeable then it should only be with those that were on the run where you were awarded the item (so only end-of-mission items) and only for a short time. Much like how WoW handles trading BoP items from a raid. And this is only assuming that there aren't other factors that affect drops (such as kills, assists, etc).
